This article contains lore taken from Warcraft novels, novellas, or short stories.

Byrok was an orcish warrior. A veteran of the First and Second Wars, he spent years enslaved in the humans' internment camps before being freed by Thrall. During the Third War a lesser demon claimed his right eye; in exchange Byrok had removed its entire head. Now free, he asked to be relieved of his service and happily became a simple fisherman instead. He wanted nothing to do with humans, considering them monsters and uncivilized creatures.

While he was in Deadeye Shore, Byrok noticed six men nearby. It was revealed that they were members of Burning Blade. Byrok attacked them because he had heard that they wanted to kill Thrall. However, they overcame him and he started to run, but they caught him as he was injured.[1]

Later on, Byrok was found by Rexxar and Misha. They carried him to Orgrimmar where he told Thrall about the Burning Blade. He was then taken by shaman Kalthar to be healed. The shaman was sure he would survive.[2]

Notes

  • He knew the Common language.[1]
  • Byrok's favored weapon was a morningstar that Thrall had given to him himself after freeing him from bondage.[1]
