Brother Sammuel is a human paladin and paladin trainer located in Northshire Abbey in Elwynn Forest. He can be found on the ground floor of the abbey, in the second room on the right from entering the building - in the hall of arms. He is notable for teaching novice paladins the basics of how to wield the powers of the Light.[1]
History
Four years after the Third War, he learned about and was given the authority over the training of young Alliance adventurers as they cleared the area of kobolds.[1][2] He also told them about the relics of the Light, such as the libram that guided his order that had been stolen from the abbey's archives by the Defias bandits. He asked them to recover the libram and to study it.[3]
After the Cataclysm, he continued training new recruits. After they cleared the area of Blackrock spies,[4] he taught them a couple of techniques for using the Light's power to boost their combat skills.[5] As the adventurer was out training, Sammuel received an urgent message from Sergeant Willem about the Blackrocks using goblin assassins to ambush the battalion behind the abbey. Willem asked Sammuel to send him a hero, so he sent the adventurer to help them.[6]
As he was training the adventurers, he had them demonstrate their abilities to him.[7]
During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, Sammuel joined the reborn Knights of the Silver Hand at the Sanctum of Light beneath Light's Hope Chapel. In the Hall of Champions, he attended the funeral ceremony of Tirion Fordring and witnessed Lord Maxwell Tyrosus' reestablishment of the Order of the Silver Hand.[8] He then relocated to the Armory of the Silver Hand.
He later journeyed to Deliverance Point on the Broken Shore.
When the Northshire Valley was attacked by the forces of Count Clessington, Sammuel defended the remaining soldiers and the wounded at the entrance to the valley.[9]
Sammuel was among the forces of the Vanguard of the Light fighting against the Devouring Host at the Sunwell Ramparts on the Isle of Quel'Danas.[10]
