Objectives
Free both Altruis the Sufferer and Kayn Sunfury.
Description
We cannot fight our way out of the Vault alone.
Two of your allies, Kayn Sunfury and Altruis the Sufferer, are imprisoned within this room.
Free them with haste. Their strength will be of great use to us.

Notes
- On accept
- Maiev Shadowsong says: I will need your help to stop Gul'dan. Free the other Illidari, quickly!
- Maiev runs out of the Vault of Silence into the Illidari Ward. The door closes behind her.
Interact with the cells on either side of the room to free Altruis and Kayn. Upon being released, the demon hunters will pick up their warglaives from the nearby racks and stand in front of the vault door.

- Altruis the Sufferer says: How many years were wasted in that cell?
- Kayn freed
- Kayn Sunfury says: I am awake? How is this possible?
- After freeing both
- Kayn Sunfury says: Why did you let THAT one free? He opposed Lord Illidan!
- Altruis the Sufferer says: It has been a long time, Kayn. I still believe in the cause. But, I do not blindly follow anyone... even Illidan.
- On completion
- Kayn Sunfury says: Why would Maiev free us? There could only be one reason...
- Kayn and Altruis run out into the Illidari Ward, where various wardens and Freed Illidari are busy fighting Burning Legion forces.
- Altruis the Sufferer says: The Legion is here.
Altruis offers [8-45] Fel Infusion, while Kayn offers [8-45] Rise of the Illidari. Completing this quest also unlocks the [8-45B] Vault of the Wardens bonus objective, which can be worked toward throughout the questing experience in the Vault.
