This quest in Desolace starts Southeast of Thunder Axe Fortress, north of the Kolkar Village at [66.5, 37.5]. It is available for a short time before the Gizelton Caravan passes by the Kolkars, and is announced by the following:
- Cork Gizelton yells: I am looking for some bodyguards that would like to protect the Gizelton Caravan. We are stopped on the road east of Kormek's Hut, north of Kolkar Centaur Village.
It becomes available every hour or so. A counterpart quest, Gizelton Caravan is available 30 minutes later, west of Mannoroc Coven.
Objectives
Escort the Gizelton Caravan past the Kolkar Centaur village. Talk with Smeed at Scrabblescrew's Camp for your reward.

Description
Under normal circumstances, Rigger and I would lead our kodo past the Kolkar Centaur. Every now and then we hear the Centaur war drums, and when we hear those we stop. It's not good for business to be dead!
I'll tell you what <class>, if you protect us past the Kolkar village we'll make it worth your while.
It's just a short distance, all you need to do is keep the caravan intact and you can pick up your reward from Smeed Scrabblescrew - he is down the road a bit. We do a little business together.

- +250 reputation with Ratchet

You know, it doesn't seem prosperous to be paying the likes of you to guard Gizelton Caravan. <Class>, if I were a bit taller I could take on a second job and sit kodo-side-saddle with the biggest gun my hands could carry... and I'd show them blasted centaur who's their papa.
Notes
After accepting the quest, the caravan slows to a walk instead of its usual run. Also, any nearby mobs will now actually attack the caravan instead of ignoring them. There are three ambushes of 2 Kolkar Ambushers and 2 Kolkar Waylayers each.

- Cork Gizleton says: Blast those stupid centaurs! Sigh - well, it seems you kept your bargain. Up the road you shall find Smeed Scrabblescrew, he has your money.
