Blazing Barrier is a mage class talent. It is only available to Fire mages, and is automatically learned.

Arcane mages receive [Prismatic Barrier] instead, and Frost mages receive [Ice Barrier].

Patch changes

• Patch 11.0.2 (2024-08-13): Absorb value reduced by 25% in PvP combat.
  
• Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 1 class talent for Arcane (was a level 11 Arcane ability).
  
• Hotfix (2022-04-26): Absorb is reduced by 25% when engaged in combat with enemy players. This change also affects Blazing Barrier cast by Arcane and Frost's [Triune Ward] runecarving power.
  
• Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 11 (was 26).
  
• Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Blazing Barrier's absorption value now scales from the Mage's maximum health rather than spell power.
