Background
Wrath of the Lich King
Anya, along with her older sister, Sasha, and their father, Mikhail, used to live in Silverbrook. One day, a shadow-worshipping group of people called the "Wolfcult" arrived in the village. The villagers were hesitant to accept them, but some started to sympathize with them. Worried about his daughters' safety, Mikhail sent them away from Silverbrook while he tried to reason with the other villagers. The cult killed Mikhail and took Anya. while Krenna's top sergeant, Bonesnap, captured Sasha on the outskirts of the town and prepared to execute her.
Alliance or Horde adventurers successfully prevented the execution of Anya's older sister, Sasha, by Bonesnap, after she was captured on the outskirts of the town.[1][2] Sasha immediately sent the adventurers to discover her sister's whereabouts, and after questioning Anatoly they discovered that Anya was in the wolf den on the other side of the mountain, about to be taken to Arugal.[3]
Together with Sasha, the adventurers rescued Anya, who revealed that Arugal and his cult were on Bloodmoon Isle.[4] Sasha instructed the adventurers to kill them all, assuring them that she would join them once Arugal himself was defeated.[5]
