Angus Ballaster is the blacksmith of Corlain in Drustvar. He was formerly in the navy and used to stuff his muskets with scraps when he ran out of bullets.[1] When the town was overtaken with enthralled people, Angus was found by an Alliance adventurer sent by Marshal Everit Reade and was asked to help the Order of Embers against the Heartsbane Coven. When they were attacked by the witches, Angus fought them. He was then escorted by Inquisitor Yorrick to Watchman's Rise.[2] While there, he repaired a Battered Hand Cannon and made it into an effective blunderbuss, naming it Witchrend.[1] Then, he thought about how to breach the barrier that was protecting Corlain and had the adventurer collect blasting powder[3] and use it with a cannon, which worked.[4]
