Anduin's hearthstone is a hearthstone owned by Anduin Wrynn. Like all other hearthstones, it is flat and gray[1] with blue runes denoting the word "home" and the name of its owner.[2]

History

Shortly before the Cataclysm, Jaina Proudmoore and Varian Wrynn agreed that it would be a good idea to let Anduin get away from Stormwind whenever Varian was in one of his "Lo'Gosh moods". Jaina arranged for a hearthstone to be created specifically for Anduin and bound it to her hearth in her tower on Theramore Isle. It was initially bound to Jaina herself until she gifted it to Anduin, allowing him to teleport over for a visit whenever he liked.[2] The prince later used the hearthstone to escape Ironforge when it was taken over by the Dark Iron clan. He materialized in Jaina's tower just as she was meeting with Baine Bloodhoof, causing the first meeting between Anduin and Baine.[3]

Years later, Anduin bound the stone to the private receiving room in Stormwind Keep. After a visit to Darnassus shortly before the Gathering, he used the hearthstone to return to Stormwind, as it was the middle of the night and he didn't wish to disturb anyone.[4] During the War of the Thorns, as Tyrande Whisperwind was about to go to her husband Malfurion's side in Darkshore, Anduin lent her the hearthstone so that she could safely bring Malfurion back to Stormwind. Tyrande found Malfurion wounded by High Overlord Saurfang on the battlefield and, after a standoff with Saurfang, used the stone to return with her husband to Stormwind.[5][6][7]
