Anarys Lunastre is the second child of Ran'thos Lunastre and the sibling of Lady Ly'leth Lunastre. The two siblings have little love for each other; Anarys, an Elisande loyalist, sees Ly'leth as a traitor who endangers everything her father worked for, while Ly'leth, who is covertly affiliated with the Nightfallen resistance, believes Anarys does not realize what he died for.[1]
When Ly'leth failed to convince Anarys to turn against Elisande, she tasked an adventurer loyal to the resistance with capturing her sibling.[2] When Anarys protested that their absence would be noticed, Ly'leth saw reason in those words, and created an illusion spell to disguise the adventurer as Anarys, thus killing two birds with one stone: letting her sibling continue making appearances in the city, while allowing the adventurer to walk among the nightborne.[3]
After Elisande's demise, Anarys relocated to the retaken Nighthold. Finally realizing what the Legion would have done and had themself blindly followed Elisande, Anarys admitted they had been wrong and reconciled with Ly'leth.

- Anarys Lunastre has the same gender as the player character. Though quest text related to Anarys, like most gender-specific quest text, changes with
[Transmorphic Tincture], the actual NPC and the 
[Masquerade] disguise do not. - It can be presumed that 'Anarys' is a gender-neutral name.
- Anarys is the only NPC in the uninstanced Nighthold not to be tagged with The Nightfallen reputation.
