The Alliance Assembly (aka the Assembly of Theramore or just the Assembly) is the ruling council of Theramore and the Alliance on Kalimdor. Humans hold five seats in the council while high elves hold two and Ironforge dwarves none. The meetings of the members reveal a considerable strain among the city's residents given the racial distrust and underepresentation in the council. Its chambers are located in the Foothold Citadel.[1] Meetings between the night elf ambassadors and the Assembly sometimes ended in sharp words because of the conflict between the Kaldorei and Quel'dorei.[2]

The Assembly wanted intelligence about a Horde encampment and the tinkers agreed to do it. Sunstorm and Nuji Kodosbreath went to investigate, leading steamwarriors there. Previously, the Assembly wasn't satisfied when Sunstorm's men killed Horde members in a last raid.[3]

The noble's swordsmen is a roomsized apparatus commissioned from a group of tinkers by advisors to the Alliance Assembly; they wished to settle disputes with traditional swordfights, yet didn't want to risk any true physical harm.[4]

A brilliant Alliance engineer invented substitution engines recently; they remain one of the Alliance Assembly's greatest secrets.[5]
