Every day is the same. We train. We train again. Eat. Sleep. Wake. Train.
The scalecommanders say this should be enough for us. But I do not believe it is.
Not for me.
There must be more to life than battle, even for soldiers. Yet the Earth-Warder demands we focus upon nothing else.
And when he stands before us, the Oathbinder aglow upon his fist, I do feel a unity of purpose. A connection to my kin.
But off the training grounds of the Reach, in the quiet of the creche, I feel another calling.
I wish to sing. To dance. To love another whose heart beats as mine does!
Yet I dare not speak of these desires. I am commanded to focus on my duty.
Will I ever be more than a soldier? Eat. Sleep. Wake. Train.
What world awaits beyond these shores? Eat. Sleep. Wake. Train.
Should I survive the battle the Earth-Warder says is coming, I must find the answer to the questions that burn inside me.
