Magni Bronzebeard

Herald of Azeroth

Magni is one of the most celebrated dwarves in history, a ruler whose life is defined by acts of great bravery and selflessness.

As the ruler of Ironforge, King Magni Bronzebeard always put the needs of his people before his own. Such was the case when the great Cataclysm rocked Azeroth, throwing the world into upheaval. Magni underwent an ancient ritual to commune with the earth and discover the source of its troubles. But instead of finding answers, Magni was transformed into a lifeless diamond statue.

Ironforge descended into turmoil as the late king's estranged daughter, Moira, seized the throne and pushed the city to the brink of civil war. To restore peace, a new governing body, the Council of Three Hammers, was forged. It included a representative from each of the three main dwarf clans: the Bronzebeard, the Wildhammer, and the Dark Iron.

As these rivals were finding common ground, Magni awoke from his slumber. The ill-fated ritual had not killed him; it had connected his spirit to the heart of the world. Azeroth itself had shown the former king visions of the future—visions of a terrible invasion by the Burning Legion. Many dwarves wondered whether Magni would reclaim his throne, but he had returned for other reasons. After giving the Council of Three Hammers his blessing and making amends with Moira, he set off to prepare the world for the Legion's impending attack.

Though Magni's physical body was forever transformed by the ritual, his noble heart remains the same. As always, he is determined to put the needs of others before his own.
