Warbands

Warbands is the an accumulation of account-wide game systems changes that will come with The War Within expansion. Its name refers to all of a players many characters as a "Warband" that share progress with each other. Its implementation is with the intent to allow players to switch between alts more easily and bring clarity to account-wide versus character-specific aspects of the game.[1] It includes changes in design moving forward into The War Within, and many retroactive changes to legacy content.
Warbands will bring numerous changes:
- Warband-wide progress for many reputations
- Clarifying and streamlining which achievements are part of a character's progression, and what are part of the players
- Sharing flight path knowledge across all characters
- The ability to transfer currencies between characters in the user interface, without the need for intermediary items
- The introduction of the Warband bank interface
- The introduction of Warbound until Equipped (WuE) gear
- The ability for characters to obtain transmogrification appearances regardless of their armor type[1]
