Vault of the Wardens: Startup Sequence
This world quest takes place inside the Vault of the Wardens 5-man dungeon.
After defeating Glazer an owl statue off the battlefield glows green and offers a conversation option to begin the startup sequence. Activating this causes 9 owl statues to appear in a predefined pattern on the 5x5 board.
Clicking a statue on the board causes the state of that cell and the 4 adjacent cells to toggle. An existing statue will sink into the board. An empty cell would have a statue rise up to occupy it.
The goal is to have one statue remaining in the center. When that last statue is clicked the criteria for the world quest is satisfied.
There are a number of 9-click solutions available. One of them is detailed in the diagram on the right.
PUGs
If you are doing this quest in a pick-up-group you are guaranteed to have at least one inexperienced player run onto the board and start clicking statues to scramble the state of the board. Once you can get the noobs to stop clicking have them sit in the corner and use the green-tinged off-board statue to deactivate the startup sequence with one conversation option; and then reactivate it (which resets the board to the starting state). Then you can use one of the 9-click solutions to complete the quest criteria.
