Vantus Rune

Vantus Runes are consumables that provide a versatility boost towards a raid boss for the week. They are made by scribes and are normally used for raiding guilds that plan on making repeated attempts on the same boss during raid progression within a weekly lockout.

Vantus runes when introduced in Legion were consumables that would be useful for one boss in a raid, and were on that boss's drop table: as such, a guild could only use it AFTER having killed the boss, diminishing their utility. With Battle for Azeroth and beyond, the many potential Vantus Runes for upcoming raids were consolidated into one consumable that could be used on any boss within a raid to obtain its benefit.
