Valor point (beta)

Valor points referred to points awarded by some dungeons and raids that could be turned in for certain rewards in Cataclysm. They were comparable to earlier Emblems; specifically, they would be equivalent to the greater  [Emblem of Frost] in patch 3.3.0. They have since then been removed from the beta - Heroism points were replaced by [Justice Points].

They would have been added with content patch 4.0.0.

Valor points were not been seen on the beta, though it had been stated that they would have been earned in the following ways:

• Trash mobs in raids.
• Bosses in raids and some heroic 5-man dungeons.
• Once daily, a successful heroic dungeon completed using the Dungeon Finder tool will yield a number of Valor points.
• When a major content patch is implemented, all Valor points will become Heroism points.

Heroism Cap

Heroism points, like all currency points in Cataclysm, would have a hard cap on the maximum amount to be kept at one time. Unlike the easier to obtain Heroism points, one may have theoretically earned as many Heroism points as they like in one week.

Dungeons and Raids

Valor points did not make an appearance in the beta, and thus it is unknown which specific dungeons and raids would reward them.
