Again, welcome! --OseTalkz / Contribz 09:04, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Great job!

Great job so far! I had planned to work on all of the profession pages, but quickly realized what a huge task that would be. I've mostly been working on the blacksmithing recipes and would welcome any suggestions. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to using your completed jewelcrafting pages for my alt. ;) -- Mordsith - (talk|contr) 15:02, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

On the Jewelry page reconfig

You've mentioned your interests lie in LW and JC... my own primarily sit in Engineering and blacksmithing at the moment. Engineering doesn't have a configuration like the JC one, but BS does. Mostly. Given the level 60 cap, it has a huge number of recipes at 300. Got ideas on how that would be restructured along the lines you've done for JC? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 17:27, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi Eirik, yeah, the number of master level recipes really blows out of proportion! I was writing a reply to your question here, but then realized it was better over on Talk:Blacksmithing_recipes. So it's now there. I know Mordsith is already working on the recipes, and I guess you're collaborating? Cheers. --w.woods (talk) 02:53, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Side note

Paladins_as_tanks and Paladins as tanks link to the same place. Neat, huh? /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 11:15 AM, 20 Aug 2009 (EDT)

Yeah, and it looks much nicer that way, but for my note I was lazy and just copied the name out of the URL ;D —The preceding unsigned comment was added by W.woods (talk · contr).
I copy from the <h1> at the top of the body of the page, instead of the URL, (the {{FULLPAGENAME}} if you're familiar with that), because it has the spaces. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 2:23 PM, 21 Aug 2009 (EDT)

Your opinion is desired

Hey, just wanted to solicit your opinion on whether WoWWiki should leave Wikia. Thanks! --Pcj (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 12:42, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

DIV as opposed to OnlyInclude?

I notice you moved some loot disambiguation pages from a broken form (where <onlyinclude></onlyinclude> both preceded and followed the tooltip) to a different broken form (where <div style="display:none;"> preceded and </div> followed the tooltip). This breaks the pages using item links to these items. The proper implementation is to have <onlyinclude> precede and </onlyinclude> follow.

I have modified  [Crusader's Dragonscale Breastplate] and  [Crusader's Dragonscale Bracers] to use the correct format. Let me know if  [Icy Dragonscale] is displaying in the manner you were trying to get it to - this is the page that was broken for me. I also updated  [Pattern: Lunar Eclipse Robes] to validate that the tooltip for it still showed up in Grand Master leatherworking patterns (it does).

The problem shows in item links and not loot links (edit this page to see the links):

[Pattern: Knightbane Carapace] [Pattern: Knightbane Carapace]

Itemtip and onlyinclude

It is generally the intention that {{#data:itemtip|...</nowiki> should not be wrapped in onlyinclude tags; however, I did not quite count on us having any pages that transclude tooltips directly (as opposed to using some template). I've now created {{tip}}, which addresses the problem: rather than wrapping the tooltips in onlyinclude, you can instead replace {{:Item Page}} on pages that transclude them with {{tip|Item Page|item}}, which'll correctly handle the transclusion. Thanks for noticing the problem :) — foxlit (talk) 14:07, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. Glad you fixed it the proper way, though I didn't notice any obvious probs when I did use those older tags. The darkmoon cards page was rather a mess today :) --W.woods (talk) 14:11, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
Sticking onlyinclude on it wouldn't have caused any problems (and that was a great way to fix the mess :P) -- it's just that we'd like the entire page to be transcludable in some circumstances. Eventually, this might let us do item disambiguation like we do quest disambiguation (B [80] Prophecies Of Doom). — foxlit (talk) 14:52, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Removed JC designs

When "correcting" the designs, don't forget to make a copy on the old page and mark it with {{Removedfromgame|<patch=4.0.1>}}, for historical reasons. --g0urra[T҂C] 06:49, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
