User name

Ok, time to pick a user name. The Tarsons or The tarsons ? Sssssssssssssssssssssssss For Pony! (^Sssss/_Slithered) 05:54, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Aw, I can't be both? It was initially supposed to be The Tarsons but when I had logged in to make my first contributions, I hadn't realized that the login was a bizarre form of case sensitive. I discovered I can login as The Tarsons, The tarsons, THe TaRSoNS, or any other combination of upper and lowercase letters. They all use the same account—I only signed up once and they all use the same password—but they all seem to have unique contribution lists.
After I realized what was going on, I had intended to use The tarsons for my article contributions and The Tarsons for sandboxing and making changes to my user page. I added a user page redirect to help alleviate any confusion, but if you still want me to choose one or the other, I can do so. The Tarsons (talk) 18:18, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

I double-checked and it seems you are correct, Pcj. Although I don't recall ever having registered twice, I cannot log in as anything other than The tarsons or The Tarsons. Please accept my apology for claiming a bug that doesn't seem to exist. By no means do I want to go against policy; I registered to be a help, not a hinderance. I'll stick with this username from now on and move my user pages accordingly.
On a side note, I read through the User naming policy you linked and couldn't find any mention of a limit on user logins. You may want to add that to the policies for future reference. :) The Tarsons (talk) 20:09, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
