My presence

...deserves to be noted. I've OK'ed fandyllic to remove me from the community teams; not to go around saying I'm gone and to disregard my welcome messages. Everything in the welcome messages, minus the forum notes, still applies. Better would be to modify the welcome template I used, and then re-apply it to talk pages. I agree. I haven't exactly been following whats going on with the welcome messages, I guess they are putting that new template on peoples pages who had the old one? Either way the template shouldn't have a discussion going on on it since that discussing is then being spammed to everywhere the template is used, thats why I moved it to the talk page so that a real discussion can take place. I rather wanted it substitued (-: I was originally going to just delete the template, but I thought that might spark some controversy that I don't particularily want - hence, making sure that anybody who DOES see the message, also see's that it's partially wrong. The really only relevant point in the tempalte is the the forum isn't something I have online right now, and unless I see some signifigant community interest, I won't ever have online. Actually, I am not sure why they don't use the original template. I had previously removed the part about the forums on the welcome template since it was no longer applicable, so the current welcome template is fine to use. Using the example of User_talk:Starlightblunder it appears that they are adding the new template to all the pages that had your old on (or at least that is the plan). To be quite honest this is rather ridiculous and I can see why youmight be peeved. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think you have tossed your welcome template on anyones page for several months so it seems rather unneeded to post to everyone who has it that you are 'no longer here for help.' I could see if you had been recently welcoming people and then were 'gone' so that new people wouldn't get confused, but as it is now anyone with your old message has had an account for several months already. They should just start fresh welcoming new members with the welcome template and taking over the job you were once doing. Template should probably be removed. --Ralthor 20:45, 26 April 2006 (EDT)

Interesting

Well, I'm, really here to thank Ralthor for updating the Project:Deletion policy page, but it is interesting to run across a bit of catty discussion about some of the stuff I've been doing. Apparently, I've offended The Mentor (snort), but not enough to get some direct communication. Oh well. What am I supposed to think after seeing "I hate this site"?

Silver (or Peerless), if you don't like something I did, then tell me about it in my Discussion page.

Terminate vs. Speedydelete

Hey Ralthor, please use {{speedydelete}} instead of {{terminate}} on articles you didn't author. The {{terminate}} template is for stuff people voted to delete or an author who wants their mistakenly created page removed. The {{speedydelete}} template is to tell admins to look at stuff that will probably never have useful content that the author seems to have abandoned or the case of vandalism only content. --Fandyllic 3:44 PM PDT 29 May 2006

Help Team leader

So I was looking at Project:Reference desk and it was kind of a mess. The way it was organized, you had to look at many pages for questions. So I changed a bunch of stuff, so you only look at the Reference desk Discussion area for initial questions in hopefully correct sections and then move the answered questions to the various subpages. I hope this is okay with you. Like I said before, you should probably focus on recruiting at first. Right now, I think most users don't expect answers from the Reference desk, since its been unmanned for awhile. --Fandyllic 1:32 PM PDT 1 Jun 2006

Re: Stubs

Sorry, I'm not sure if I should have replied to your comment on my page, or make a comment here.

Anyway, I can't think of all the pages that I was initially looking for, however, you caught the big one - Project:How to edit a page. I thought it would be a valuable help and alas, it was empty. It looks great now, and it's really nice to have all the info organized together like that.

Also, the Community Teams forum page links on the Community portal all 404. I had been hoping to check out the Cat team forum to get some info and examples of proper categorization, for example.

Endgame Edition

On Talk:Endgame Edition, you said you had moved the content of Endgame Edition (now removed) to User:Thricej37/Endgame_Edition. Any reason you didn't just move the whole article over there? Maybe it didn't work. Did you try, though, or did it just slip your mind? Schmidt 19:11, 16 June 2006 (EDT)

Oh I don't know, that was a while ago, I think because I didn't want to make it a redirect and move the vote and everthing, I thought the base page should still be deleted whether it backed up or not and if I moved it I would have had to of gone back and placed the delete stuff on the redirect page...--Ralthor 21:32, 16 June 2006 (EDT)

Similar topic ... about the two guys making the stupid guild pages. I've marked most for speedydelete as they hardly deserve even being stubbed. One or two have since been sorted out as proper guild pages, so I've left those or stubbed them :) Most I will delete soon if they receive no proper content soon. " Dependency Missing"

Hi, i have two problems, first: i am trying to use the addon, Auctioneer, and i keep getting this message when i log into worldofwarcraft. I also get this same message concerning " Titan Panel-Stance Set". im not a pc wiz so i dont understand, plus dont know how to fix this. Starting a New Page...

Hi there! I'm one of the newer Bookkeepers and am looking for a bit of help. I ran into a small problem.. I was trying to add a word to the Qiraji language page... but the problem is that the language is also called Qiraji. How would I go about making a separate page also titled Qiraji, but maybe with (language) in brackets or something, afterward. I'm really not sure what the best way to handle something like this is, so I'd much appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks!

In this case, I'd personally keep Qiraji as a real page about the bugs, not a disambiguation page. Then I'd make the language page Qiraji (language) just like you said, and put a notice (in italics) at the very top of Qiraji saying to see the language page for the language with the same name.   --Mikk (T) 08:40, 7 October 2006 (EDT)
