Lake Wintergrasp

Historical information is fine in wintergrasp article, but we do keep pages for seperate "zone changes", Draenor and Outland, Blackened Woods and Ghostlands, Eversong Woods and Eversong Forest, etc.Baggins (talk) 19:14, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

I understand it in those situations as the areas were dramaticly changed during the transition from WoW lore to playable WoW. Lake Wintergrasp wasn't changed that much. It was frozen, then people built things there. From playing n the beta I would estimate atleast 80% of the entire zone is just ice and snow, with only 20% being the soil in the north fortress and cliffs, the small crater in the south west, and the similiar crater in the north east.

You can actually see the ice through the snow here. That paticular area is marked as land on the world and zone map. shows that the former Lake Wintergrasp (pre-freeze) is an entire zone large.

Point is, nothing has really changed for a separate page on its history to be needed. Wintergrasp's history section is only

"Wintergrasp was once the location of a vast lake, then known as Lake Wintergrasp. In Wintergrasp, there is a valuable mine. This mine is contested by both the Horde and Alliance, who both seek to reap its riches." Mistiwaters (talk) 17:41, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
