I'm sorry for the late response, but I'm really starting to dislike Wikia. I like the format of Wowwiki with the Item links, tooltips, and displays of entities like they would be displayed if you moused over them in game (and very interested in being able to copy it for my own use for having a MMO-themed wiki not related to wow), but I don't care for the changes Wikia pushes to try and make it self profitable. I'm not sure you guys will be able to keep the domain name, but I don't think they'll have an issue putting a redirect in. Really the only reason I use this wiki outside of Wowhead is for more detailed information, so a wiki is appropriate, but you certainly don't need the overhead of Wikia to host a mmo-themed wiki.

I'm not sure of Wikia is Jimmy Whales creation, but it's certainly not going in the Open Source direction it should be going (even if this may not be profitable).
