Rumored Races Page

Just wanted to let you know I really like your color/reformatting of the page. It gives the ol' baby new life. --Xmuskrat 11:25, 15 June 2006 (EDT)

Terminating Stuff

I'm cleaning out all the empty and unused pages. If any appear, red links are much less annoying than empty pages and pointless redirects. -- Kirkburn 08:52, 19 June 2006 (EDT)

Eredar

Err... Kirkburn, I love the job you've been doing, an' all, but I tend to disagree with marking the Eredar pages with the BC template. The Eredar were introduced in WCIII, but putting a template implies that they were created specially for the expansion. --Ragestorm 08:59, 26 June 2006 (EDT)
Well okay, the Eredar one can go (done), but the Eredar (Burning Legion) one should really stay as they will appear in the expansion as shown on the Bestiary :)
The template doesn't suggest the stuff is brand new for the expansion, it just shows that whatever it is will appear specifically in it -- Kirkburn 09:05, 26 June 2006 (EDT)

Lore

I'm glad to help.Baggins 19:29, 18 July 2006 (EDT)
Slightly odd query here, but I noticed your comments on User:Theron the Just's talk page. Theron has applied for Bookkeeper status. Since you appear to have "exchanged words" with him, and since I have been proud to call you an ally in the past, I was hoping to get your opinion. --Ragestorm 06:57, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
Hmm, I think I would support it. He obviously knows what he's talking about, the problem was that he is not a WoW player and it came down to a misunderstanding over the most recent terminology used. His edits weren't 'wrong', as such, but they would have caused total confusion, hence my rather vitriolic response :P He's new to the wiki, but now that he's had a trial by fire of how not to do things, I think he could be valuable :) -- Kirkburn 07:32, 22 August 2006 (EDT)

Thanks :-) I got a lot of applications in the past two weeks, and his appears the most promising. BTW, in the event you want a place on the team, you need but to ask. --Ragestorm 11:37, 22 August 2006 (EDT)

2500club

Let the staring and confused looks begin :) -- Kirkburn 11:09, 14 August 2006 (EDT)

Lore opinions.

If you dislike it so much, tell Blizzard. Don't turn the wiki into a insult slinging match with comments like that. Blizzard know what they're doing, and it's not for you to dictate what is and isn't the 'correct' way forward - it's like dictating to a J.K.Rowling how Harry Potter should end :/ So far I have failed to see the problem with the recent changes - did you complain between War 2 and War 3 as well when they really changed a lot of stuff? I somewhat doubt it ... -- Kirkburn 06:42, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
(If you only knew...) I was complaining about what Submarines and Gyrocopters did to the lore when War2 came out. Piroko 10:20, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
Then you're mad :P It's not as if there was much WC lore anyway at the time ... I'm just saying, relax a little, this isn't world-changing, lore-destroying stuff. It's just developing the game :) -- Kirkburn 10:57, 22 August 2006 (EDT)

Feedback on Engineering

You added a 'cleanup' tag to the Engineering page. I've made a first cut at cleaning it up, can you please comment? Thanks. -Flick

Thanks for all the work reverting impersonator vandalism

I guess people are predictable, but I didn't get to check WoWWiki soon enough to prevent lots of vandalism. Thanks for all the work reverting FandyiLic's vandalism, including my user pages. --Fandyllic 2:37 PM PDT 25 Aug 2006
No problem. Don't forget to block his alter ego FandyIIic :) -- Kirkburn 15:22, 25 August 2006 (EDT)
Thank you very much for the assistance on the Dragonblight page :).
Kirkburn, the Fandyllic impersonator (or an impersonator in the same mold) is back. This time, he's impersonating SilverSide, and YOU. --Ragestorm 14:00, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
Nah, same guy, same tactics, same idiocy -- Kirkburn 14:01, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
Then be glad your username doesn't have any ls. --Ragestorm 14:05, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
Hehe, it's not as if that stopped him though :P -- Kirkburn 14:14, 28 August 2006 (EDT)

Discussion 'archived' (i.e. deleted) from User talk:SilverSide

What the hell is up with you, man? Can we at least discuss what the current problem is? It's not good timing right now since we have a vandal loose, again ... -- Kirkburn 13:11, 28 August 2006 (EDT)

Nothing the hell is up with me. I'm trying to help with the vandal BTW, but not much I can do if I'm not a mentor. 15 thousand pages and one admin? No fucking breaucrats? I tsould have 10 or so. Damn administration here sucks fucking balls. The Smentor 13:22, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
Calm down, man. It's not the end of the world :/ I understand the stub.gif change now (which you didn't explain before), but what of the other stuff? -- Kirkburn 14:11, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
Save your breath, that isn't the real one. --Ragestorm 14:27, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
You never know... --Fandyllic 3:02 PM PDT 28 Aug 2006
You must be the real one. No imposter could fake your Mac-driven humor. --Ragestorm 16:03, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
It is sort of funny, but look closely at these changes: the real Silver?, the fake Silver
SilverSide worked hard, but he is still kinda aggro. --Fandyllic 4:20 PM PDT 28 Aug 2006
So that was the real SilverSide? I've seen him get mad, but never use language. Well, this does teach us a valuable lesson, I suppose: much as we appreciate you, you can't do it all yourself. --Ragestorm 17:33, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
I thought it was a bit odd as well, but I think it mostly just came from the frustration of this edits being messed with. Unfortunate coincidence really :( -- Kirkburn 18:58, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
...This is me. Who esle. Thanks whoever got rid of the vandal's addition to my... note. I'm always around. I'm removing the icons I submitted for various reasons; and the stub icon was simply a violation, no question about it. This is likely my last posting for a while. The Smentor 04:54, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
To explain a bit more, I don't usually cuss - I'm in college now, it's sort of fuckin with me, so forgive my slips - anyway, the main reason I came back so angry was I simply came back to check for new messages mostly; but it just brought back memories of why I left in the first place... between my attempts to work with the site owner and being completely unable to communicate with him; and the fact that at the time I was quite incensed with the fact that Fandyllic, whom I saw as a 'noob' or an 'interloper' who had no idea what he was doing, was promoted over my head - between all that leading up to my final leave of absence; stacked with the stress here with college starting and SpotMakr.net work completely swamping me... I simply blew. Anyway, even though I've calmed down, my statements still stand, and I am still removing all my intellectual property submissions from the site systematically. Thanks for your time. The Smentor 05:20, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
Your intellectual property is no longer yours to remove. You have submitted it under the GNU Free Documentation License v1.2 [1] which means that WoWWiki has every right to keep redistributing your copyrighted material. Granted, making edits is what a wiki is about, but I'll say this as a precaution: if you start tearing large holes in the wiki just because something can be said to be your work, or a derivative of your work, you will be declared a vandal and banned.
However, seeing as how you are claiming to be a wiki expert of sorts, I cannot but assume that you already know this as fact, which leads me to wonder what reason you have for saying this in the first place?   --Mikk (T) 05:49, 30 August 2006 (EDT) & -- Kirkburn (talk) 05:51, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
My textual intellectual property is now released under the GNU, yes - the visual work is not released in any such way, including the layout and design of the community portal. The point is moot; the icons (which were my biggest problem) are gone, the community portal is merely a point of fact. Rest is up to you. And yes, I 'claim to be a wiki expert of sorts' - but I don't remember you from anywhere; you certainly weren't around when I was here or you wouldn't be talking (typing?) in that tone (font?) of voice (text?). You seem relatively new, gasp, oh - and you're an admin too! Wow. I'm starting to love the administration infrastructure here more and more. I can't go on about this, I have a life to attend to and I have achived my goals here, so good day to you, and good luck with this site. The Smentor 05:58, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
Do not presume to know other people. -- Kirkburn (talk) 06:27, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
This is not SilverSide. This is Peerless. Two different people. SilverSide made a few initial edits here, then stopped editing and I used her account. Thus, for all intents and purposes, this is the SilverSide that you know and love. *grin* The Smentor 06:01, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
And that makes a difference, how? We don't know that, and frankly, we don't care. If 'SilverSide' ever makes vandal-like edits to the wiki, action will be taken. -- Kirkburn (talk) 06:27, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
Seems like aggro to the max around here. Take a chill pill everyone? Pzychotix 07:32, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
We try, Pzychotix, but he just keeps on riling things up (check on archived talk pages for more). Hopefully this will be the end of it, finally. :) -- Kirkburn (talk) 07:39, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
Chill pill taken, thanks pzych. Too bad there's no /ignore on wikis lol. Archiving this discussion, as it's over. The Smentor 19:12, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
