Pictures

Cinematic images or drawn images are preferred if they are superior to the WoW screenshot. Especially so in the case of Garona who is not actually in WoW. --Ragestorm 16:35, 21 December 2006 (EST)

New Signature

Honestly, us in IRC were inspired by your signature. We were talking about the ability to upgrade signatures (which I was never acquainted with), and I modelled mine after yours. By the way, what's up with the blood elf? Haha. Lookin' good. Happy Almost! --Hobinheim (talk · contr) 17:48, 31 December 2006 (EST)

Grammar Fixes

Thanks for fixing some of my horrible, 3am grammar on the Instance Attunement page :-P

IRC pic

Can you use another logo for the IRC thing maybe? I think it's a bad idea to use the mIRC one due to copyright and also because I don't really want us to promote one program :P Perhaps use a cool "IRC" typeface? -- User:Kirkburn/Sig 20:45, 2 January 2007 (EST)

The silly purge

You'll need to change the text of Category:Silly too. As it currently reads, Dupe Bugs should be categorized there. --Beep2 11:18, 7 January 2007 (EST)

My Bad

I didn't think about your reading of it. ^_^ It was late n' such. But yea. I think I figured out where to put it. And thanks for your input. :) -Kwertz0r 09:20, 11 January 2007 (EST)

official, canon, etc

We intentionally removed the term "canon" on previous occasions because its a dangerous term used by the fans, but not used at all by powers that be at Blizzard (at least no one has given any specific quotes). That is Blizzard as far as we are awhare seem to use "lore" in place of the term canon, official, and other such terminology (perhaps because it allows for more flexibility to allow for stories that may or may not be in contradiction with each other but can be part of the same pantheon of "lore" material). For example, both accounts of lothar's death existing as common knowledge to the people of Azeroth, or concept that there is more than one creation legend, etc etc.

The danger of use of the term "canon" is people tend to throw it around like a weapon, each with their own wild views on what they believe as canon, instead of taking a wider picture that according to lore that there may be multiple "in-universe" interpretations.

I'm not opposed to you adding canon again, as long as you clean it up, and explain its signifigance as a fan construct, in relation to the Blizzard's use of the term "lore" instead, and dangers of trying to toss opinions "canon" around, "to win debates".Baggins 10:13, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Death Knight lore

This is where I would get evil on you and attack about you undermining my authority. But since it would have been done anyway, I'll just skip to the part where I thank you for your foresight and ask for your continued vigilance. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 18:26, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

local copy of Image:Crusadeheader.jpg?

Do you have a local copy somewhere? I don't want to delete that little piece of work yet if you don't have a copy saved on your harddrive or on an external site. --Sky (talk | con | wh) 08:35, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Map of the Sunwell Isle

The info looks pretty good, but where did it come from? Is there some secret pre-test test that we don't know about? As far as I'm aware, the test servers aren't even up yet. --Joshmaul 19:02, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

As a fairly veteran member of the site, I wondered if you wanted to become a Watchdog? Indeed I was kinda surprised to find you aren't already! Kirkburn  talk  contr 08:18, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Naming policy

Why are you reverting my changes? Look at Naming policy, I always respect it. --N'Nanz 18:07, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

And then you're going to revert it again? :D --N'Nanz 18:19, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Ok.. So Astalor Bloodsworn or Magister Astalor Bloodsworn? IMO magister is only a title thus should be excluded from page naming --N'Nanz 18:26, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Spectral Essence

I was surprised that an item like that, and the quests associated, have been so long neglected. Perhaps simply the advent of Laurlybot and of Burning Crusade means that some of the 10's of thousands of quests out there have been neglected... --Eirik Ratcatcher 20:47, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

2500 contibutions

you have 2500 contribs (exactly) you can replace 1000 with 2500 now (i noticed your employ peasant thing(Also how do we make that work with the bot))Geeko 01:13, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I meant how do you use the peasant counter thing and make it so the foxbot or whatever will always update it for you. DId that make sense?Geeko 17:40, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Never saw that it should help ill try first time i just copy and pasted from someone else and then miscounted editsGeeko 03:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

AlsoSee

For a good example why your edit to {{AlsoSee}} is a bad idea, look to Morbent Fel quest chain. "See Also" sections are NOT appropriate in those locations. Nor, since an immediate reference is desired, is putting the uses of AlsoSee in a section at the bottom. --Eirik Ratcatcher 19:33, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Added more references to {{AlsoSee}}'s talk page, and a note on Village Pump that, given your comment on my page, could now use updating. I agree that AlsoSee is overused. I even agree that I've overused it myself. But I found pages that I didn't think converting it to a section would benefit the style of that page. You maintain your dislike of it; can you suggest alternative formatting for cases like those I mentioned? --Eirik Ratcatcher 20:46, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Quest Enders

I think it is keen, your work on quest enders. I'm curious whether there should be a category for "world object quest enders", or whether it should just default to "quest enders"; the category would be a bit lonely, with only subcategories and no articles, if the object ones were moved. What you think? --Eirik Ratcatcher 19:39, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

AlsoSee and sons

Done yet more research, found wikipedia's similar templates. As someone who edits NPC pages, I would value your input here, if you have time. --Eirik Ratcatcher 00:46, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Darkfallen

I tried to clean the Darkfallen page but the user that did the last changes reverted all. I don't know what sources are there, IMO the page is built nearly on speculations only. --N'Nanz (talk) 12:54, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

File:Hatchethills.jpg

In regards to the image submitted of Image:Hatchethills.jpg, I was curious about the inset picture. Was that a WoW addon producing an image of your target, or simply an bit of image post-editing? Bakerq (talk) 13:29, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

Onyxia

Always display the best available picture. Model viewer pictures are avoided when they can.

Just so you know, that was from a source book (Monster Guide), however the background was cut out. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 19:14, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Screenshots vs model viewer images

On a few images you added a cleanup tag claiming that "[Screenshots] are always preferred over model viewer images." However, Project:Image_guidelines#Model_viewer_screenshots states that:

While we do not refuse images from model viewers, such as WoW Model Viewer, we generally strongly discourage them in favor of in-game screenshots. The only exceptions to this are for very generic images, such as creature type profiles and armor sets - but only if the images are very high quality and follow the rest of the image guidelines.

While "very high quality" is subjective, images on race pages are generic.--SWM2448 20:04, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

I agree that a screenshot of the collections would be preferred, but as it takes time to gather all pieces of a collection, the model viewer images have to do; e.g. I've tried to gather the Highborne collection for ages, and I'm still missing a few items. TherasTaneel (talk) 18:30, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
May I recommend agents and bounties? If you have cash to burn, that is... :) IE either hunting up folks who are about the right level, or brandishing an offer about in Trade (or City) chat, for some ridiculous sum (50g on up, say) for "items found on this web page". Would try that myself if I had inventory space and motive... Mostly motive, I guess. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 20:20, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
Theras, of course those model viewer images have "to do". I didn't nominate them for deletion, I simply requested for them to be replaced would that be possible. The bounty idea of Eirik might be a splendid idea. Unfortunately, however, I have no active World of Warcraft subscription as of present.IconSmall BloodElf Male.pngAMBER(RΘCK) 08:28, November 5, 2009 (UTC)
Mmm, lets try that out :) TherasTaneel (talk) 18:56, November 5, 2009 (UTC)
I feel for ya, AmberRock... I've edited one of the EVE-online wikis in similar straits. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:10, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

RE: Behaviour

Hello there, I just want to get one thing cleared out of the way first, an apology. Im sorry if I came off as rude and/or disrespectful to you and any edits you've made to assist me. I think requesting a replacement was less needed than a request for a better version (which you fixed). So I thank you for that fixup and once again sorry for any confusion. Hope this can go behind us ;D TeeSon5 (talk) 21:54, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

Beleive you me, thats exactly what I plan to do >:D (have fun editting, of course... what else would I mean?). Lol. TeeSon5 (talk) 21:57, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
