New System: Allegiances

As oppose to the garrison system, players will instead choose a faction in one of the seven leveling zones to align themselves with. This could be compared to the Covenant system in a way, but the expansion as a whole is much less dependent on allegiances. Furthermore, an allegiance is made with a faction that all players can gain reputation with. Below, the allegiances, the zones they're in, their headquarters, some of their functions, and more are discussed. Some of the features from garrisons will be mentioned here.

General Allegiance Benefits and Features

There are several benefits that all players will benefit from by aligning themselves with a certain faction. Those benefits are mentioned below. The general features that are specified in each allegiance section are also explored in this section.

  • Reputation Gain: Reputation gain with the faction that you align with is now 50% faster.
  • Base of Operations: Each allegiance has a base of operations that they operate from.

Council of Exarchs (Shadowmoon Valley)

The Council of Exarchs is a group of draenei in Shadowmoon Valley that ensures the protection of their race, the region, and Draenor as a whole.

Frostwolf Orcs (Frostfire Ridge)

The Frostwolf Orcs are a clan of orcs who are against the overwhelming tide of orcs who've aligned themselves with the Iron Horde.

The Grondor (Gorgrond)

The Grondor are a group of neutral Breakers who view the presence of Blackhand and the Iron Horde in Gorgrond as a threat worth making alliances over.

  • Base of Operations: Kor'garok

The Ancients (Farahlon)

The Ancients are a group of Primals who've gone against the influence of the Everbloom. These creatures understand the choking impact that endless life would have on Draenor, and seek to help maintain balance in Farahlon. These creatures are almost entirely comprised of the actual Ancient race, as they were the only ones that could be coerced through the use of magic to stop their destructive ways.

  • Base of Operations:

The Arakkoa (Spires of Arak)

The Arakkoa, initially the Arakkoa Outcasts, are a group of Arakkoa who've been deformed by the Curse of Sethe. Once going through Skyreach, their curse is lifted, and you reconstruct The Sunspire, a settlement on one of the peaks of the Spires of Arak.

  • Base of Operations: The Sunspire

The Sporekeepers (Zangarra)

The Sporekeepers are a group of spore-influenced beings who've gone against the overwhelming number of spore races in Zangarra and on Draenor. They understand the influence that the sporemounds have on Zangarra, and wish to see it contained.

Ogri'la (Nagrand)

In defiance to the overwhelming number of ogres who've established their position against the races of Draenor, Ogri'la is a splinter faction that seeks to destroy the ogres of the Gorian Empire.

  • Base of Operations: Ring of Blood

New Class: Runecarver
