After Frostmourne was destroyed, Anasterian's soul was freed and found peace in Luminar when he followed Terenas Menethil II to the blissful afterlife. When word was reached that the Shadowlands was in chaos, Anasterian traveled to the infinite city of Oribos to investigate this disturbance.
