The Thundering Serpents are the eleventh and penultimate encounter within the Palace of the Risen Emperor raid. These beasts consist of Thunderscale and Stormfang. They keep eternal watch over their Thunder King, bringing death to those who would oppose their lord.
Background
Born from the very storm itself, Thunderscale and Stormfang were summoned to the Lightning Throne at the call of Lei Shen as a last line of defense. These Stormbound Serpents eagerly seeks to please the eyes of their master by turning all foes to ash. These beasts are as relentless as the storms from which they are created from.
Encounter Abilities
The twin serpents reside on opposite sides of the platform they are battled on. On all difficulties, they do not share health and will enrage after 10 minutes.
Stage One: For the Storms of Lei Shen!
Both serpents, Thunderscale and Stormfang, are engaged and this phase lasts until one of the two serpents are defeated.
Thunderscale
The electrical beast Thunderscale burns with power everlasting. He seeks to drop his foes where they stand.
Stormfang
The thundering serpent Stormfang bristles with raging lightning. She prefers to take down her opponents in large numbers.
Stage Two: The Inevitable Begins Now!
When Thunderscale or Stormfang are slain, the remaining serpent will absorb some of the power of the defeated serpent. The remaining serpent will also restore its health to 50% of its total. If the serpent is above 50% when this phase begins, that boss will be healed to full health.
