The Temple of Qri'vexx houses many Mantid creatures. This instance takes place beneath the land of Pandaria save for its entrance. It is located within the Dread Wastes.

Background

With the bulk of the mantid assaulting the save havens of Pandaria (starting with the protective wall that is originally used to keep them out), the rest of the mantid resides within the deep and dark depths of the continent. Under the corrupted influence of the Sha, most of these mantid creatures look to start their forces anew and resume their aggressive onslaught on the rest of Pandaria.

Bosses

With 8 bosses in the "tree-temple", they are split into two sections with increasing difficulty.

First Section

• Centurion Ka'lak - A cunning warrior of the Mantid, Ka'lak personally defends the temple with his entourage. Aware of the passing of the empress, this strong-willed warrior seeks to fight those responsible for her death and avenge her by personally executing them, one by one. His mercy is nonexistent in the face of his enemies.

• Wind Mistress Nil'siyak - A powerful beast, Nil'siyak is feared by all and is dubbed The Sky Terror by the mantid forces. She dominates the skies and rarely descends to face her foes on the ground as she takes pleasure in toying with them from the skies above. As dangerous as she is made out to be, her greatest advantage lies in what may also be her most deadliest flaw.

• Sap Eater Aly'vess - A deadly and destructive insect, Aly'vess's ferocity is only clouded by her enormous hunger and lust for eating. It is said that this beast's size was equal to or even greater than that of Raigonn. Unfortunately for her, Aly'vess lost her massive size whenever she goes without eating. Due to this, the mantid has exploited her hidden strengths by constantly feeding her which in turn gave Aly'vess her gigantic size and granted the mantid a powerful battering ram to replace Raigonn when the time comes to assault the havens of Pandaria.

• Battleguard Gri'mak - One of the more seasoned mantid veterans, Gri'mak is revered among his mantid brethren and is looked up to as a role model for all starting mantid warriors. Gri'mak has been called upon by his people following the demise of his empress and his warrior colleague during the mantid's earlier years. With an arena constructed in his name, Gri'mak seeks to encourage his people (especially his young warrior followers) to continue fighting. He awaits any and all challenges in his new arena, looking to give his fans some entertainment while respectfully doing battle with his enemies.

• Zoralin the Amberborn - Under the order of the higher ranked mantid, Zoralin has been made anew by the process of Amber-fusion. With his newfound strength, Zoralin is eager to serve his people once again at any chance he get. His fury will be feared for centuries to come.

• Amber Lord Pri'jirelk - Leader of the Ambersmiths and Ambershapers, Pri'jirelk oversees the storing and processing of Amber throughout the temple. Under the influence of the corrosive Sha, Pri'jirelk has filled himself with an overwhelming amount of Amber, which will grant him unerring control over all Amber-like substances. With the Sha's overwhelming power bearing down him, this mantid attempts to relieve himself of the pain by focusing on producing Amber for all of his people to consume. Should this occur, the Mantid will have such strength that has never been seen before.

• Qri'vexxi Elders - The most patient and cunning of all mantid, the Qri'vexxi Elders took it upon themselves to appoint a new empress to replace Shek'zeer, ignoring the Klaxxi and their traditional ways of empress replacement. Feeding the new empress amber and other sources of power, she will prove to be a deadly foe should she become engaged in combat. The Elders must be stopped before they can cause more damage. They are reckless in their decision in times of desperation but are usually passive, watching things unfold from behind the scenes. However, with the dreadful presence of the Sha sifting throughout the temple, the elders are becoming more and more like the ferocious nature of the rest of their brethren.

• Grand Empress Qri'vexx - With the death of Shek'zeer, the mantid elders have forcefully chosen a new empress, ignoring the Klaxxi and their traditional ways. Instead, they choose to feed this new empress Amber and the powers of the Sha as a means of bolstering her power from the get go. Under her rule, Qri'vexx wishes to do away with all non-Mantid races on Pandaria, followed by the rest of the world. In addition, this empress will also destroy her own kind if her goal comes down to it and with the Klaxxi allying themselves with outsiders, they are the first on her list and she will not rest until they, along with the rest of the world, are exterminated forever. With the Sha's corrosive grasp on Qri'vexx growing ever stronger, this new empress will soon have the power to fully execute her plan and bring about the end of all non-Mantid life.

• Sha of Terror - The massive corruption within the Temple of Qri'vexx lies at the responsible hands of the Sha of Terror. Ruling through his power of reckless terror, he will dominate his foes through their emotions and as a result, will overpower them. Those wishing to root out the corruption behind the Qri'vexxi mantid must face off against terror itself and prevail.

    •  Dropping Like Flies —  Defeat Centurion Ka'lak in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty after killing his entourage members within 10 seconds of each other.
  •  Heroic: Wind Mistress Nil'siyak —  Bring down Wind Mistress Nil'siyak in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Heroic difficulty.
    •  Winging It —  Defeat Wind Mistress Nil'siyak in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty after forcing her on the ground while her wings are still intact.
  •  Heroic: Sap Eater Aly'vess —  Defeat Sap Eater Aly'vess in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Heroic difficulty.
    •  Hungry? Why Wait? —  Defeat Sap Eater Aly'vess in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty without letting her enter a Satiated state more than twice.
  •  Heroic: Battleguard Gri'mak —  Defeat Battleguard Gri'mak in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Heroic difficulty.
    •  Proper Respect —  Have the entire raid salute to Battleguard Gri'mak on Normal or Heroic difficulty each time he loses 10% health, and then defeat him.

•  Qri'vexxi Quarrel —  Defeat the final four bosses in the Temple of Qri'vexx.
  •  Heroic: Zoralin the Amberborn —  Defeat Zoralin the Amberborn in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Heroic difficulty.
    •  Amber Anarchy —  Defeat Zoralin the Amberborn in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty after destroying his carapace while affected by 15 or more stacks of Amber Infusion. Elite mode.
  •  Heroic: Amber Lord Pri'jirelk —  Defeat Amber Lord Pri'jirelk in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Heroic difficulty.
    •  Can't Touch This! —  Defeat Amber Lord Pri'jirelk in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty while preventing non-mutated players from taking damage from Amber Nova or Unstable Amber.
    •  Genetic Grievance —  Defeat Amber Lord Pri'jirelk in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty before any raid member suffer from an Amber Mutation more than three times.
  •  Heroic: Qri'vexxi Elders —  Take down the Qri'vexxi Elders in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Heroic difficulty.
    •  Elderly Love —  Defeat the Qri'vexxi Elders in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty after having the raid emote /love on the final Elder.
    •  The Chosen One —  Defeat the Qri'vexx Elders in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty with Judicator Zel'nik as the last member alive. Elite mode.
  •  Heroic: Grand Empress Qri'vexx —  Put an end to Grand Empress Qri'vexx in the Temple of Qri'vexx on Heroic difficulty. Title reward: Emperor/Empress <Name>
    •  Dethroning the Empress —  Defeat Grand Empress Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty in 8 minutes.
    •  A Quarrel with the Queen —  Eliminate Grand Empress Qri'vexx in Temple of Qri'vexx on Normal or Heroic difficulty after destroying each of her Chrysalis Eggs first.
      • Destroy the Horror Chrysalis first
      • Destroy the Dread Chrysalis first
      • Destroy the Fear Chrysalis first

•  Heroic: Sha of Terror —  Prevail against terror itself by defeating the Sha of Terror in the Temple of Qri'vexx.
  •  Simple Survival —  Defeat the Sha of Terror in Temple of Qri'vexx while killing more than or at least 3 Dreadwater Elementals by using Sha of Terror to use Destroy Platform for safety in second phase.
  •  Facing Your Fears —  Destroy the Sha of Terror in Temple of Qri'vexx on the first attempt without letting any raid members die.
