Improving Warcraft

This page is dedicated to share my suggestions for the Warcraft franchise.

  • Warcraft Library: a mobile app/web app that offers all the Warcraft printed books (novels, comics, manga, art books...) in a digital enhanced version (featuring videos, interactive images/maps, integrated audiobook versions, and other).
  • Soundtrack albums should be released in streaming plataforms.
  • Battle.net screenshot functionalities: this would work in a specific tab, which would also have a sub-section with friends screenshot's feed (like a "Blizzard Instagram", because conventional social medias are not so appropriate for these).
The design of this window is very distinct from others, it should be revamped to be more alligned with the rest of the UI.
    • "Battle.net Instagram": ability to view/comment/like friends public screenshots.
    • Screenshot manager: ability to create tags for screenshots, organize them in albums, and share with friends.
  • Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft II remasters. Or at least playable through the Battle.net app.
  • World of Warcraft general improvements:
    • New animations for eating/drinking, crafting, casting spells with staffs.
    • UI: ability to enable an automatic fade out for the UI elements, with mouseover functionality (like the Immersive addon).
    • New achievement UI window.
    • Profession quests for older expansions (expanding the profession quests that we see in Battle for Azeroth to the older expansions).
    • Revamped loading screen arts (full widescreen versions of it).
  • Warcraft Adventures: a brand new sandbox action single-player RPG game set in Warcraft's universe, inspired by the Elder Scrolls franchise. This could be set in the pre-Sundering Azeroth, offering a non-linear storyline progression.

Shadowlands

We need to find a permanent solution to honor these raids from the past.
  • Leveling revamp: this feature has already been announced, so my suggestions cover some details that are still uncertain.
    • Profession items should be more horizontally viable: if you are leveling in Northrend, the alchemy potions related to this expansion should be useful for your progress. Expansion potions/armor/etc would be just a cosmetic variant.
    • Legacy raids should be scaled to level 50, and be available through raid finder.
    • Once the player selects an expansion with Chromie, a huge phasing occurs on the world reflecting the selected era (this would phase the Horde's warchief, some zone alterations, etc).
    • Some pre-expansion events become available again as expansion introduction scenarios.

Rise of the Dragons

Because the  [Twelve-String Guitar] was not enough for Azeroth's musical scene.

This is an expansion pack concept that would be thematically centered on the dragonflights. Basically the stThe major contents would be:

  • Dragon race/class: faction agnostic race/class, has a high elf form for combat and normal interactions, and a dragon form for flying (but can also use normal mounts).
  • Music system: inspired by the Lord of the Rings bard system. Players would be able to craft instruments with their professions, and play for other players.
  • Housing system:
    • Woodwork (primary proffesion): created bows, arrows, and gathers wood in the world.
    • Construction (secondary profession): combines reagents and materials from all the others primary professions to create forniture and objects for the character's house.
    • Proprieties: housing proprieties can be rented with specific NPC's. This would work as a new major gold sink for the economy.
    • With the new housing system, players would be able to get an upgraded version of the rested condition that would have more benefits for end game purposes (maybe reputation gain bonuses).
  • New zones: Dragon Isles, Tel'Abim, and new zones in the old world (currently the old world has many empty zones (such as the mountains south of Dun Morogh).
    • Burning Crusade zones would finally get integrated with Azeroth's zone, so no more loading screens and invisible barriers!
