Background

At the center of Dreadstorm City is the Dreadforge itself, a twisted copy of the titan creation forges such as the Forge of Wills. Constructed of refined saronite, the very blood of an Old God, this dark edifice is used to bring forth all the evil designs of the fallen watcher of Order, Tyr. The Thunderfury Ramparts are constructed around the Dreadforge, protecting it from outside dangers.

Dungeon Journal

The imposing fortress of the Thunderfury Ramparts surrounds the Dreadforge itself, and is the most heavily fortified area of Dreadstorm City. The weapons and constructs that pour out of the Dreadforge find their way into the twisted talons of the dread iron dwarves that occupy the fortress, and they are prepared to turn them upon all intruders.

Encounters

Rune Lord Nijel Thunderspite

An ancient iron dwarf forged long ago when the Titans still walked the world. Crafted to oversee the creation of his brethren should a need arise for them to defend Ulduar, Thunderspite entered into hibernation once the iron legions have been completed. When the watcher Loken fell to the whispers of Yogg-Saron, he revived Thunderspite and inflicted the corruption of the Old Gods upon him and dispatched him into the darkness beneath Ulduar, to serve Loken's brother in corruption, Tyr.

Zaaxzz the Tormented

The dread iron dwarves uncovered an ancient titan binding obelisk from the depths of the underworld, and discerned that within lay a twisted elemental of thunder and lightning, a storm eidolon. Fearing the creature was too insane to fully control, they constructed a great suit of refined dread iron and encased the binding obelisk in it. Upon breaking the obelisk, the eidolon was entrapped by the armor, its insane rage powering the construct and allowing the dread iron dwarves to manipulate it.

The Prototype

Heroic Mode Only - An iron dwarf war machine. It was considered too powerful and dangerous for mass production, but it possessed a dark life and will of its own and would not allow itself to be melted down. Instead, the iron dwarves chained it beneath the Thunderfury Ramparts, planning to employ it as a weapon of last resort.

Runemaster General Kangus Stormwrack

One of the mightiest spell-casters of the iron dwarves, Kangus Stormwrack holds the esteemed post of Runemaster General. His command of the corrupted titan runes used by the iron dwarves is second to none.

Dread Thane Immortus

Leader of the newly revived iron dwarves. Immortus is the devoted servant of Tyr, the corrupt titan watcher who revived the iron dwarves. He will stop at nothing to carry out his patron's plans.
