Currently Under Construction; Part of the Forge of Goblinium raid concept

Ilvas the Spurious is the third boss of the Research and Destruction wing of Forge of Goblinium. His defeat grants the raid Chief Engineer's Authorization. This, alongside Master Alchemist's Authorization from Ezzel Darkbrewer, is required to progress to the raid's final wing.

Background

Dungeon Journal

When the Trade Queen ordered her robotics team to create an artificial titanic watcher, Chief Engineer Coalflint could have not gulped louder. After spending months in Uldaman, Uldum, and Ulduar researching the colossi, Coalflint returned to the forge to begin work on his own. Although only half completed, Ilvas packs more dark energy within its metal veins than in all of the goblinium soldiers combined. Hopefully those flimsy, iron chains will be enough to contain its might.

Description

If the goblins were researching the Old Gods and titans, you know they’d want to create their own watcher. Ilvas is an unfinished artificial watcher that is bound to a wall by two giant shackles on each arm. Ilvas is potentially the last boss before reaching the final wing of the raid, so his challenge level needs to be relatively high. The fight revolves around splitting the raid group to attack each of the boss’s hands, which are the primary targets throughout most of the fight. The hands need to be destroyed within seconds of each other or the boss’s damage will rapidly overwhelm the other group. Different types of adds join the fight and need to be positioned properly in order to down them quickly so the raid can continue collaborating on both hands. The final phase is a strict DPS race that will force the raid to regroup.
