Den'chulu is a boss encounter of Fall of the Zandalari. Den'chulu, alongside Great Father Arctikus, Guan'yao the Soulstealer, and Gonk the Great Hunter can be attempted in any order once the Zandalari's invasion of Azeroth begins.

Background

Dungeon Journal

Although Vol'jin openly opposed Zul and his union of the troll nations, not all of the Darkspear Tribe held the same convictions. Den'chulu, a teacher of druidism, was one of the few who saw merit in Zul's plan. Alongside others who saw a future with the Zandalari, Den'chulu led a secession from the Horde, pledging loyalty to Zul and the Zandalari. As a test of loyalty, the prophet placed leadership of the invasion of the Echo Isles at Den'chulu's feet. Now, leading the traitorous Splinterspear Tribe, Den'chulu assaults her former home, hoping to seize it in the name of Zandalar.

Abilities

• Shapeshifting A master druid, Den'chulu shapeshifts into three different forms throughout the encounter: Bear Form, Cat Form, and Moonkin Form. Den'chulu shapeshifts into random forms once she has reached either 100 or 0 Voodoo Power. She begins the encounter in Bear Form.
• Voodoo Power Den'chulu harnesses the strength of the captive loa Bwonsamdi, granting each of her forms special attacks that, when successfully damaging players, generate Voodoo Power. Den'chulu begins the encounter with 50 Voodoo Power and gradually loses it over time. When Den'chulu reaches 100 Voodoo Power, she shapeshifts into another form and gains a stack of Shapeshifter's Fury. When Den'chulu reaches 0 Voodoo Power, she will enter a State of Befuddlement before shifting into another form.
  • Shapeshifter's FuryIncreases the damage of Den'chulu's abilities by x%. This ability stacks and remains for the entirety of the encounter.
  • State of Befuddlement Den'chulu reverts back to her troll form and is stunned. During this time, all damage received by Den'chulu is increased by x%. After y seconds, she will break out of her confusion and shift into another form.

Bear Form

• Rip Den'chulu rends her current target, dealing x damage and reducing armor by y%.
  
• Shattering RoarDen'chulu howls at a random target, dealing x damage and reducing movement by y% to all players in a cone.
  
• Quaking SpiritsThe restless spirits of the Echo Isles tremble under Den'chulu's feet, causing four magical ruptures to form at random locations around the arena. Anyone caught in the ruptures suffer x Shadow damage every two seconds. Generates x Voodoo Power per player struck.
  
  • Aftershock The restless spirits detonate the ruptures, dealing x damage to the entire raid unless at least one player enters the quake prior to detonation.
• Guardian Voodoo Den'chulu forces Bwonsamdi to summon anguished bear spirits to assist her. The spirits walk slowly and aimlessly across the arena, pulsing voodoo energy around them every second, dealing x Shadow damage in a y yard radius. Generates z Voodoo Power per player struck.

Cat Form

• Infecting Swipes Den'chulu's diseased claws slowly swipe at her current target four times. Each swipe deals 33% of the target's total health as damage. Den'chulu can be taunted by another player to interrupt the ability.
• Feline IllusionsDen'chulu creates three illusions of herself. These illusions deal 50% of the damage as the real Den'chulu and only have 5% of her total health.
• Shadowed LeapDen'chulu targets three random players' locations. With shadowy fury, Den'chulu launches at each players' locations, dealing x Shadow damage to any player caught and launching them into the air. Generates x Voodoo Power per player struck.
• Feral Voodoo  Den'chulu forces Bwonsamdi to summon anguished tiger spirits to assist her. The spirits dash at random locations, dealing x Shadow damage to any player caught in their paths. Generates x Voodoo Power per player struck.

Moonkin Form

• Moonkin's Focus Den'chulu's internal balance renders her unable to be tanked.
• WrathDen'chulu fires bolts of nature energy at random players.
• Starcrush  After firing five bolts of Wrath, Den'chulu will call down pillars of arcane energy at the five players hit by the Wraths, dealing x Arcane damage and an addition y Arcane damage every second for ten seconds.
• Hexing Mushroom Den'chulu summons voodoo-infused mushrooms at random players' locations. After growing for three seconds, they pulse toxic spores every second, dealing x Nature damage in a y yard radius. Every pulse increases the range of the mushrooms' radii by z yards. Generates v Voodoo Power per player struck.
• Balanced Voodoo Den'chulu forces Bwonsamdi to summon anguished treant spirits to assist her. The spirits attack threatening players. Generates x Voodoo power every second the treants are active.
