UNDER CONSTRUCTION related to Spider Kingdom Expansion Concept

The Forge of Souls was a massive production facility that built Soul Grinders, a fiendish construct in the arsenal of the previous Lich King. Now, the Soul Grinders are silent, but the forces of Twilight seek to awaken them. The Scourge Remnants who have allied themselves with Velius and the Twilight's Hammer have been sent to the Forge to oversee their takeover. Here, Amal'thazad and Prince Theraldis await all comers. Their dreams of conquest crushed beneath the heel of Velius and the Twilight's Hammer, they are eager to vent their frustrations.

Lore

The Twilight's Hammer was kept from seizing the innermost chambers of Icecrown Citadel, but has succeeded in capturing the outer regions, including the Forge of Souls. Agents of the Ashen Verdict and the Wyrmrest Accord stand guard over the Citadel and will aid adventurers in securing entry to the forge. Jorad Mace and Tyrigosa will give out quests at the entrance of the Forge.

Dungeon denizens

  • Soulguard enemies have been replaced by Coldgrasp enemies.
  • Bronjam, Godfather of Souls, has been replaced with Prince Theraldis.
  • The Devourer of Souls has been replaced with Amal'thazad.

Bosses

Prince Theraldis
The last of the San'layn. His faction of Scourge Remnants was decimated by Angerboda and eventually absorbed into Amal'thazad's Cult of the Endless Cold. They, in turn, have become subservient to the Twilight's Hammer, just another cog in their vast engine of chaos. Deranged by his abject failure, Prince Theraldis seeks only to destroy any living thing that intrudes into the Forge.
Amal'thazad
He dreamed of enshrouding the world in the darkness of death. Now he dreams of an eternal twilight. Amal'thazad has heard the call of the Old Gods.
