Faerlina, Grand Widow of the Cult of the Damned, held a position of great power and authority within the halls of Naxxramas. A skilled alchemist and spell-caster, Faerlina crafted many deadly plagues using spider venom and other natural poisons. When Naxxramas fell, Faerlina was nearly destroyed, but preserved her existence with dark magic and nerubian alchemy. Her hatred of the living has nurtured her inner darkness, granting her terrible magics added destructive power.

Abilities

Faerlina, the Risen Widow

•  Venom Barrage  —  Bombards all targets with a volley of deadly venom, dealing nature damage.

•  Rain of Fire  —  Causes fire to rain to rain down from above. Cast periodically on random players. Deals damage every 2 seconds. Lasts for 8 seconds.

•  Summon the Faithful  —  Summons 3 Azjol'Naxx Worshippers and 2 Azjol'Naxx Followers.

•  Frenzied Veneration  —  Increases Faerlina's attack power and prevents all damage. 5 second casting time. Active while at least one Azjol'Naxx Worshipper is casting Venerate. Reduces Faerlina's movement speed while active.

Azjol'Naxx Worshipper

•  Venerate  —  Grants Faerlina the ability to use Frenzied Veneration. Channeled spell, affects Faerlina only.

Azjol'Naxx Follower

•  Call of the Unspoken  —  Silences all nearby targets, preventing them from using spells. All targets within 15 yards are silenced.

•  Charge  —  Charges a random target, dealing physical damage and knocking them down for 1 second.

Strategy

Faerlina will use all of her abilities throughout the encounter. Every 60 seconds she will cast Summon the Faithful and summon 5 adds - two elite crypt fiends called Azjol'Naxx Followers and three non-elite Azjol'Naxx Worshippers human cultists. Azjol'Naxx Followers will silence anyone in close proximity to them and will charge random targets outside of their silence effect. Azjol'Naxx Worshippers will cast Venerate, which gives Faerlina the Frenzied Veneration buff, increasing her size and damage while decreasing her movement speed. Slaying the Azjol'Naxx Worshippers will cause Faerlina to return to normal.

Heroic Mode Strategy

In heroic mode, Azjol'Naxx Worshippers must die within 10 seconds of each other, or they will immediately resurrect themselves and continue to cast Venerate.
