Alliance

Why Join the Alliance: When pirates arrived on the shores of Pandaria, the Pandaren tried their best to fight them off, but the ursine creatures were outnumbered. Two small groups were sent to ask the Alliance and Horde for help, one lead by Chen Stormstout, and the other by his brother, Mojo. The group lead by Mojo was slaughtered upon arriving on the shores of Durotar, on their way to Thunder Bluff to talk to Baine. Meanwhile the other group arrived safely in Dun Morogh to talk to Magni, who kindly invited the Pandaren to join the Alliance, which Chen accepts. Magni asked Chen to be the leader of the Pandaren, which, again, he accepted.

Meanwhile, as a member of the Pandaren empire, it is your duty to defend Pandaria from the pirate invasions while the Alliance ships are on their way to help.

Why Join the Alliance: After living in the Barrow Deeps in peace for years, the peace is interupted when Dwarven archaeologists in Darkshore dig into the Barkskin Tribe's home. Meanwhile, in the Barrens, Goblin gold miners of the Bildgewater Cartel discover the Barrow Deeps. Through these two entrances, many creatures (such as beetles, giraffes, owls, and worst of all, corrupted furbolgs) enter the Barrow Deeps. Fortunately for the Barkskin Tribe, Prophet Velen finds the entrance as well, and aids the Barkskins. Velen invites the tribe to join the Alliance, which they accept, under the leadership of their high chief. Together, the draenei and furbolg fight off off the currupted furbolg, as well as the greedy goblin miners, who are trying to take all of the region's treasures.

As one of the last uncorrupted Barkskin furbolg, you must aid in the fight against your plagued bretherin and your new enemy, the Horde.

Why Join the Alliance: When the blood elves increasing power becomes a larger threat, Tyrande Whisperwind contacts her old friend, and leader of the Silver Covenant, Vereesa Windrunner. Vereesa sends about half of the high elves to Quel'Thalas, in a group named the Silver Accord. The group lands in Northeron, an area never touched by the blood elves of Quel'Thalas nor the Forsaken of Lorderon. Here they find dwarven gryphon riders. These Wildhammer dwarves agree to share their home with the Silver Accord. Unfortunatly, blood elves followed the high elves to Northeron. The Silver Accord was outnumbered by the blood elves, and Vereesa was forced to send more high elven recruits to Northeron, and even decided to go as well.

As a high elf picked by Vereesa Windrunner, it is your job to eliminate the blood elf threat from Northeron, with the help of Wildhammer dwarves and other high elf recruits.

Why Join the Alliance: With the increasing Gnoll threat in the Stormwind region, the murlocs are forced out of their home and into islands off the coast of Westfall. The majority of the murlocs agree that asking the Alliance for help would be their best option. However, many murlocs disagree, as many murlocs have been slain by the humans. These murlocs turn against the others, increasing the Crystalscale Tribe's problems. The murlocs decide to go to Anduin Wrynn for help, who attempts to get his father to accept the murlocs into the Alliance. After a while, Varian welcomes the Crystalscale murlocs into the Alliance. Soon, a third threat arises to the murlocs, the kobold of Elwynn, who had joined the Horde, attack the murlocs as well.

As a member of the Crystalscale Tribe, it is your job to fend off the gnolls, traiter murlocs, and Horde kobold from the murlocs' new home in the in the Stormwind Isles.

Why Join the Horde: When a goblin experiment goes wrong, many Bloodmaul ogres get shrunk to the size of a tauren. The unaffected ogres no longer approve of these miniature ogres and remove them from the clan. The undersized ogres decide to make their own clan, under the leadership of "King" Dok'Nor, called the Shortmaul clan. The goblins, feeling guilty, invite the ogres into the Horde, and create a teleporter to Azeroth. However, the Bloodmaul ogres do not make this easy for the Shortmaul, trying to kill all of the shrunken ogres and the goblins.

As a proud member of the Shortmaul clan, you must fight off the Bloodmaul ogres long enough for the goblin engineers to create the teleporter.

Why Join the Horde: The Darkclaw Tribe is the only non-demonic Satyr tribe left. Due to this, the many demonic Satyr tribes are trying to elimimate them. The Blackclaw Tribe goes to Darnassus to ask the night elves for help. However, Tyrande distrusts the Satyr and refuses. The Satyr then go to Baine for help, who immediatly sends tauren warriors to the Blackclaw's home. Baine also asks the Satyr to join the Horde, which they accept.

As one of the few non-demonic Satyr left, you must defeat the demonic Satyr and survive the Darkclaw name into the future.

Why Join the Horde: After another of Queen Azshara's failures, Lady Vaz'tar realizes that the Naga have no chance against the other forces of Azeroth. Lady Vaz'tar started looking for other Naga who felt the same way. If someone declined her invitation, she'd kill them on the spot, to prevent risk of the queen finding out. When Vaz'tar had enough followers, she decided to go to Neptulon. She was relieved when Neptulon agreed to help her. Vaz'tar, Neptulon, and the Naga moved north of Vash'jir to set up a city, which was named after Vaz'tar. Knowing that the naga queen would realize that she and other naga were missing, Vaz'tar went to Thrall for help. After successfully invading Orgrimmar, Vaz'tar talked to Thrall. Thrall trusted her and invited her and her followers to join the Horde, to which she gladly accepts.

Meanwhile, as a follower of Vaz'tar, and a traitor to Queen Azshara, you must slay any other naga that happens to find out about this newly founded group.

Why Join the Horde: With the increasing gnoll threat in Elwynn Forest, the kobold went to the Alliance for help. However, the murlocs had the same idea, and beat them to it. Knowing that there were no major Horde cities nearby, the kobold had nearly given up. Silvertooth, son of the now deceased Goldtooth, led a group to Grom'gol Base Camp in Stranglethorn Vale, where they explained their problems to the Horde there. Unfortunately, the Horde there explained that they were not leaders and could not invite the Kobold into the Horde. They allowed the kobold to take a zeppelin to Orgrimmar to talk to Thrall. The many kobold stacked onto the zeppelin and took off on the trans-Azerothian flight. The zeppelin could barely fly due to the high amount of passengers, but would do alright, that is, until Alliance gunships attack. On the gunships are the murlocs that once shared the kobolds' home. The single zeppelin was not enough, and the zeppelin crashed on a foresty island. The island looked a lot like their previous home, so they named it New Elwynn. Luckily, a radio was still working, and the survivors contacted Orgrimmar. Thrall, along with many soldiers, took wyvern to New Elwynn to meet with the kobold. Never really liking the kobold, Thrall asks why he should accept them into the Horde. One young kobold arose and, almost crying, offered Thrall his candle. Knowing that kobold are very possessive of their candles, Thrall realized that the kobold were really in a time of need, and accepted them.

As a survivor of the zeppelin crash into New Elwynn, you fight off the Alliance murlocs and humans while attempting to find a way off of the island.

Thrall returns from the Maelstrom and reclaims his throne.

Rediscovers the Darkspear Islands, undamaged, and retakes it as their capital. You can reach it using a bat from Sen'jin Village.

Finds Undermine to be completely undamaged by the eruption and the goblins of the Bildgewater Cartel retake it as their capital.

The previous trade prince, Maldy, is found trapped in Undermine, tied up, after having been sabataged by Gallywix. Maldy reclaims his throne.
