Unraveling Sands is taught to players who loot the 
[Unraveling Tunic] after opening their first 
[Cache of Infinite Treasure], likely by completing the first Jade Forest quest, 
[10-35] Unleash Hell or 
[10-35] Paint it Red! during Pandaria Remix.
Interact with the summoned Unraveling Sands object to scrap unwanted armor or weapons that they come across or outlevel during the event, which will turn the scrapped items into 
[Bronze].
