The flavor text is ironically non-indicative. This blade may have a connection to Trol'kalar or the Trollbane family. In Tides of Darkness, Thoras Trollbane is described as wielding an axe. It could also be the original Trollbane or a weapon that belonged to their family a long time ago. The original Arathor tribe of humans were rather barbarian, and it is very likely that they'd use axes which are a somewhat primitive yet effective weapon.
