Tome of Conjure Food dropped from elites in most high-level The Burning Crusade dungeons, such as Tempest Keep, Shattered Halls, parts of Auchindoun, The Steamvault, Caverns of Time, Karazhan and also in heroic dungeons. It also had a chance to drop from non-elite level ~70 mobs outside of instances.
This tome, along with the Tome of Conjure Water IX, was necessary to learn 
[Ritual of Refreshment] from Mage trainers.
Patch changes
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Removed. Existing copies converted to a gray item. 
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): 
[Conjure Food] VIII is now trainable at the mage trainer. 
Patch 2.0.3 (2007-01-09): Added.
