The Tomb of the Ancients was the residence and final resting place of Lord Talendar, located in Dustwallow Marsh in Kalimdor. Though centuries of dust cover this lair, masterless golems still patrol its halls, defending long abandoned corridors and ancient artifacts of power.

While he lived, Talendar was drawn to the arcane, even though he was unable to cast spells himself. He thus decided to surround himself with the arcane and locked himself within the halls which were to become his tomb. He was defended by a host of skeletons, golems, and salamanders, as well as the Mistress of Shadows and her Maidens of Shadows, some of whom were studying in an adjacent library. He was defeated by Rexxar and his companions, who looted the Tomb's treasures for the Horde.[1]
