Thunderstrike is a spear belonging to the chieftains of the Frostwolf clan. Carved in runes and adorned with leather wrapping, the spear bears carved notches indicating its history as a weapon, each horizontal slash representing a beast's life, and each vertical slash representing an orc's. The spear is the chieftain's favoured hunting weapon, while Sever is used for battle.[1]
Thunderstrike was passed down from Durkosh to Garad, and upon Garad's death to Durotan.[2] It was one of the few possessions taken from the clan's home in Frostfire Ridge when the Frostwolves headed south to join the Horde.[2]
Following the slaughter of the Frostwolves by the rest of the Horde, Thunderstrike was taken to supply the other orcs.[3]
