Temporal Shield is a Arcane-exclusive mage PvP talent, available at Level 30, a weaker version of [Alter Time].

This ability does not actively shield you from damage, but once the shield expires after 4 seconds, the mage is instantly healed for all the damage received. It is automatically cancelled upon death, and can also be dispelled by other players.

Patch changes

• Hotfix (2023-11-21): Now heals for 60% of damage taken over 4 sec (was 100%) in PvP combat.
  
• Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Converted from a rank 6 honor talent to a PvP talent.
  
• Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Re-added as an honor talent. Now heals instantly instead of over time. No longer reduces damage taken by 15% while active or is usable use while under crowd control effects.
  
• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Removed. Replaced by [Alter Time].
  
• Patch 5.4.2 (2013-12-10): Healing should now correctly modified by effects that affect healing (Battle Fatigue, Mortal Strike, Dampening).
  
• Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10): Now also reduces damage taken by 15% while active in addition to existing effects.
  
• Patch 5.2.0 (2013-03-05): Temporal Ripples from Temporal Shield can no longer be dispelled.
