Template talk:Petbox

Idea of the template is to provide a infobox about how the critter would behave as a pet that can be used in any critter page. Note that it can not (and should not) be used for Minions, Guardians nor for trophy pets. BlackSmith 15:54, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Correct stats

Where are the stats coming as there is lot of contradictory data about +/- to HP, damage & armour. e.g. Bat are listed to have +0% +0% +7% in Pet (hunter) article but in main article they are said to have +7% +0% +0%. I would go for the table in Pet (hunter), but does anyone know better? BlackSmith

Stats are taken from table in Pet (hunter)#Tamable Beasts. It in turn should be updated (from petopia). BlackSmith 18:03, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Ideas

• Adding image option to the Petbox to create similiar infobox as Template:npcbox, but with fixed width option. BlackSmith 17:46, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Changes

A few things to think about:

• Make the images smaller
• Float argument with default to right. So left can be used if needed.

Raptors and Dash

More errors

Wind serpents have Poison Spit in their petbox, but they can't learn it. Bats don't have Dive in their petbox, although they can learn it. Nether rays don't have Dive in their petbox, although they can learn it. Gore is given an incorrect icon (I think the correct icon is called "INV_Weapon_Shortblade_28"). Ravagers don't have Dash in their petbox, although they can learn it. Spore bats have the ability Bite in their petbox, although they can't learn it. Tallstriders have Dive in their petbox, although they can't learn it. WoWWiki-Presea (talk) 17:55, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Headers

I'm not sure how to do this, but this ought to be fixed to pluralize correctly. Should be "birds of prey", not "bird of preys". -- Harveydrone 19:06, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

It has been fixed to now say The <creature> blah blah, rather then <Creature>s blah blah. This will fix how its read, however if you want it to be Birds of prey and not Bird of prey, then the article will have to be moved since this template uses {{PAGENAME}}. Missing ability

Is there any reason [Rake] isn't in here? I was browsing through, and got to the cat page, and was wondering why my rake wasn't listed, and I see it's not even on the template. LieAfterLie (talk) 12:04, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

New look

Since the talent trees can be changed in MoP, I'm removing the 'can learn' section. Also since the Damage, Armor, and Health don't change at all from family types, I'm removing that as well. In its place I inserted their tamed as type along with if exotic, and a section for their level ranges. The new look can be seen at Template talk:Petbox/dev. Sssssssssssssssssssssssss For Pony!
