The subject of this article or section took place during the War of the Thorns, the Battle for Azeroth pre-launch event.
The Tamed Hippogryph was used as Tyrande Whisperwind's mount during the War of the Thorns. Flying from Darnassus, Tyrande briefly observed Teldrassil's other parts and reached Darkshore, seeking Malfurion Stormrage.[1]
After securing Malfurion, Tyrande tasked the Alliance adventurer to use the hippogryph to reach Darnassus to aid in the evacuation of citizens.[2]
