Problem
I ran into a problem with the zepplin.
I play with a relatively low-tech computer. I have about 512K RAM and a painfully slow hard drive. When attempting the crossing from Lordaeron to Orgrimmar, my character became trapped; my system couldn't catch up and render the "dock" quickly enough for me to leave the boat, so it departed back to Lordaeron with her still on board. Naturally the same thing happened upon arrival back in Lordaeron. It's an endless cycle.
Any suggestions as to how I might get out of this? --TedC 12:05, 27 May 2005 (EDT)
I have the same problem. --Sigma 13:49, 11 February 2007 (EST)
- Use less addons, or more efficient ones (data farming ones of the type of Gatherer will increase load times). If it's occurring without addons, upgrade your PC. User:Kirkburn/Sig 14:21, 11 February 2007 (EST)
512K ram?! How can you even run the operating system required for the game?! Kraas 20:11, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- 512m, probably. I once had a similar problem. After a while, I got bored and hijacked the ship, and took it to Dalaran. Screenshot[1] --Azaram 02:51, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Just wondering
It mentioned that both the horde and the alliance made use of the zeppelins in the third war. Just wondering if the other two factions in Warcraft III did as well, anyone remember if the undead or night elves flew at any point? Bragus 17:41, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
- I know the undead used zeppelins during the invasion of Quel'Thalas. Not sure about the night elves, though. - Dark T Zeratul 17:59, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
Zep above Orgrimmar
If you look up when in the main valley in Org near the bank and such you see a single stationary Zep way above the town. Anyone know what this is about? Hooper 19:54, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- its just part of the scene, i had a look and its not even solid, you go right thru it XD --KingStoph 09:54, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Fact check
Later zeppelins served as a means of aerial transport, taking troops to and from the battlefield in their spacious holds. Later the goblins developed bombs and other explosives which, when attached to a zeppelin, could be dropped upon the enemy troops and structures causing significant damage and chaos.
Vendors and NPCs gone
It seems to me on the Gorgonnash server that the NPCs and vending machines have been removed from the zeppelins. Can anyone confirm? --Boradis 10:14, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- All npcs from all the transportation vessels (boats/zeps) have been temporarily removed. I believe I read somewhere that there was a problem. (Sssss/Slithered) 18:01, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Crew size
I am not saying your wrong, but how come your not putting sources for the 1 crew and 8 crew entries you made like I did for the 2 crew and 3 crew entries I made? Iif I did that kind of thing who knows what would happen to me. LOL Rolandius (talk - contr) 03:09, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- You do play horde character, and have traveled on the zeppelisn right? 1 crew member zepps are mentioned in the WoWRPG corebook.Baggins (talk) 03:12, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- 1 crew might be based on Warcraft I, or III. In anycase there are different sized zeppelins in different styles. Are their 8 crew zeps in wow? Is it hard to look at one of the zep links in the article :p...?Baggins (talk) 03:21, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- well ya the entry only talks about the pilot, and speaks of no others.... I suppose it could be read several ways.Baggins (talk) 03:55, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Sources
You know some of that stuff you "reverted" did have sources you know. So I guess we can erase sourced material now? Rolandius (talk - contr) 05:35, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Game mechanics are questionable. At least the comment left in the article is written in lore form. However, I could point out that in some sources zeppelins are as fast as gnome flying machines... We could source speed until we were blue in the face.. and it doesn't make it any less rediculous.Baggins (talk) 05:37, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Poisoning the well... The lore form the books are valid, but game mechanics are to be avoided, much like we avoid game mechanics in the MMO, or any of the games if possible. Only info written from a lore pov can be mentioned. This is not an editorial discussion. If you continue to use fallacies actions will be taken... As Ragestorm would put it, Discussion closed.
- You will not be warned agian, move on or spend some fun time with your self... (Note, that there is a specific rpg rule that you are not aware of related to the mechanical speed, and I'm not going to take the time to explain, but hint the 15mph is base speed, and that it can go faster do to the specific rule...)Baggins (talk) 06:14, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- What part of discussion closed, or you will be spending time yourself did you not understand? How does a week, or 1 month or 2 months ban sound? I think you had the 1 month ban last. But its your choice? ...or you can simply not respond to this anymore, and I'll ignore the fact that you ignored my warnings. So either no more posts here, or simply give me your choice of your preferred ban. If you can't choose, let me know I'll choose for you. Either way its your choice.Baggins (talk) 07:08, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
