Truly an undead

So Stillwater transformed into a monstrosity and was killed by the adventurers. Later appears in the Plants vs. Ghouls storyline but for what it seems this may be only an easter egg. But in Legion he is controlled by the Nathrezim and the adventurers free him when he was suppose to be dead, again. Was this an overlook? --Ryon21 (talk) 18:02, 10 January 2018 (UTC)

AFAIK it's the same thing for most zones impacted by the Legion Assaults. Xporc (talk) 18:13, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
I believe it is an oversight, they ignored the quests, but there's no official word on it. You can see same cases in the first note here.
Could u name some for the Assaults? --Mordecay (talk) 19:44, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
I don't really want to go through every NPC that appeared in every Assaults zone, but generally during the Assaults they were about still in the same lore time than during Cataclysm Xporc (talk) 19:55, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
I think this is an instance of Blizzard forgetting their own lore, honestly. I'm not sure which word I would use in it's place, but I think "Active" for his status is a bit too generous. Something that denotes uncertainty regarding his status would be more accurate, I think.Xanofar (talk) 17:39, 22 March 2019 (UTC)

The problem is he shows up in a mission table quest. So while we don't know how, he is alive. --Berenal (talk) 19:11, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
