Zaratan?

It also reminds me of the lion-turtle from the Last Airbender, which goes well along with Metzen saying he's a fan of Avatar and that Mists of Pandaria was influenced by it. Interesting enough, the Skyfire seems to crash on the island, probable during the Deathwing battle, probably by the same time it gets "stuck" in the Maelstrom.
