Comment

Okay, just added this one after the interview on http://www.wowszene.de/news.php?extend.1182. Since I don't expect this article to last too long (since it's all based on an unofficial source), I'd like to ask that this be kept until the weekend, when it -should- be revealed at Blizzcon07. Silent002 18:42, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Ahh, it would seem that the leaked FAQ linked above was actually the official FAQ now released by Blizzard a couple days later: http://www.wow-europe.com/wrath/faq.xml. Silent002 03:37, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Speculation

This is all based on an unofficial WoW website article that we can't even be sure if it can be trusted, so I'm going to add the Speculation header. Midna 20:49, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, forgot about that one. Article certainly deserves it for now. Silent002 21:36, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Confirmation

As I guessed, this was just confirmed at the opening of Blizzcon07, along with the title, "Wrath of the Lich King", and an in-game movie was released. Not much information in the talk, though the first wing was confirmed playable at the convention. I've edited the page to reflect this new information (and to add how it was pronounced). Silent002 18:39, 3 August 2007 (UTC).

There was more information released earlier today on WoWInsider. I added it but forgot to comment it here. Silent002 3 August 2007.

Screenshot of Utgarde Keep

There's some a screenshot of the Keep already on the official site. Screenshot 11: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath/screenshot.xml?11 It's confirmed as being Utgarde Keep in a labeled wallpaper seen here: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath/wallpapers.xml I'm not very familiar with uploading imagines, but perhaps someone else could put up the screenshot here for this article? RogueJedi86 22:47, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

OK that picture is added, on 4th try but its there :P --Axell 23:22, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Can we get a picture of the exterior? Like, from the outside? Cormundo 20:22, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

It is that big thing behind Valgarde.--SWM2448 20:23, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Tiragarde Keep and Refrence

For now, I'm going to remove the bit about Tiragarde, since the name Utgarde it can remind someone of many keeps and cities in Azeroth, Stromgarde and Nethergarde to name a couple. Please feel free to discuss this here, though. I was wondering why Tiragarde was mentioned in particular? I do, however, love the reference to Norse mythology, nice catch. ^_^ Silent002 21:40, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Because the moment I heard "Utgarde Keep" it made me think "hm....I have heard that name somewhere before...." and then I remember it was a place in Durotar, checked the map and saw Tiragarde and BINGO! Makes things easier for people who also think "where have I heard a similar name before?" --  Shandris  talk / contribs 21:46, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Ahha, okay then! Perhaps we should have a page that lists these keeps and provide a link back to this one? What do you think? Silent002 21:51, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Edit: Ah, seems like we already do - Category:Forts.
Yea, maybe create a -garde or -garde Keeps page or something? --  Shandris  talk / contribs 21:56, 4 August 2007 (UTC).
That should work, yeah. How about make it "Category:-garde"? Silent002 22:13, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
If it is not sarcasm.--SWM2448 22:20, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
^_^ Haha, nah, sarcasm doesn't work too well over the internet, hence I try to avoid it. Anyway, I've done that, added it to the approprate pages, and added a link under "See Also". Up to you what you would like done with that sentance, Shandris :-) Silent002 22:26, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Mobs

Some guy at blizzcon who played this, mentioned that 1.boss is Prince Keleseth, a Vrykul Warlock. And another boss (possibly the last one)is Ingvar the Plunderer. Could it be added? --Axell 22:38, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

I've been meaning to write that little report up all day, but I never got around to it. I'm guessing you're referring to this? Silent002 22:42, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Uuuhm yea i do --Axell 22:46, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
You can fight the skull forge thing, or rather, it attacks you and you turn it off to make things easier.--SWM2448 17:39, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Alliance Specific?

I happened to notice in the characteristics section on this page that Utgarde is marked Alliance only. Is there a reasoning for this? It's in a technically contested zone, and appears to be a major feature of Howling Fjord...surely the Horde has some access to it (though only the Alliance can do the Tirion Fordring quest from Utgarde Catacombs, since Tirion is in Valgarde). --Joshmaul 01:39, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Removed the Alliance bit, since I agree. User:Kirkburn/Sig3 02:44, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Ten man wings?

Article here: [1]. Seems to suggest Utgarde has 10-man raids.

Eurogamer: What can you tell us about the dungeons in Lich King?
Jeff Kaplan: As was the case with The Burning Crusade, there will be dungeons to fit each level from 70 to 80. In fact, fans of that kind of gameplay will have been able to level up simply by playing through instances.
We're going to offer more ten-character party instances from the start. Some of them will feature different areas depending on the level of the players. For example that's the case with Utgard Keep, which has a wing reserved for level 70 players and another one for the level 80 - as well as an instance for a 25-character raid.

Captalisation?

I was led to this article through a link of 'Vrykul' - where the 'V' was capitalised. However, throughout this article, vrykul is just spelt as such; without capitalisation. So which is it? Melaisis 20:58, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Without capitalization, i.e. vrykul. --  Shandris  talk / contribs 11:00, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Mobs

Here are some of the mobs that can be found:

Catacombs

Thankfully because this info was already released to the public and the errors have merely come from incorrect naming i can clear this up in full. Utgarde Catacombs is not an instance. The video shown of Utgarde Catacombs is a non-instanced area inside the non-instanced Utgarde Keep area. The 70-72 5-man Utgarde Keep instance is simply named Utgarde Keep, as proven by the official site, event videos and images and all but one source which has clearly got the wrong idea. -- Zeal (T/C)  08:04, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps it is as you say. Utgarde consists of three levels. Utgarde Catacombs is a cavern system deep beneath the buidilng. The Keep is the area at ground floor. High above on the top of the building is Utgarde Pinnacle. --User:ShandrisForever 08:35, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Aye, that's how the outdoor areas of the keep are layed out. The instances are simply Utgarde Keep, Utgarde Pinnacle and the yet unamed raid one. -- Zeal (T/C)  20:17, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
The raid may be dead, but how do we file that? A wing with the name of the instance as a whole (Nexus too)???--SWM2448 20:20, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
I was wondering the same, they seem to need to be split with the way the new infoboxes for instances are done, so perhaps just Utgarde Keep (instance) and Nexus (instance)? :S -- Zeal (T/C)  20:25, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
