Name

Whi did you called him Thomas Thomson? --N'Nanz 11:08, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Because that is his full name according to his book. I point to the policy Project:Naming policy#Character Articles, which states that a character should go by his lore name when known rather than his NPC name.-Baggins 06:36, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Speculation

Thomson and Yance are two different last names. How could they be related or be the same person?  Rolandius Paladin.gif (talk - contr) 10:53, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

And where did you add the other father from? Kirkburn  talk  contr 15:14, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Thomas is a common name.--SWM2448 20:08, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Thomas is the first name though. We know his name is Thomas Thomson. His title says he is "Sir Thomas <son of Thomas>". That would mean his father was also a Thomas Thomson. The only other way is if you want to speculate that Thomas was a last name. This would mean Thomas Thomson changed his name from Thomas Thomas, which doesn't sound right. Either way, I don't see how a Yance comes into the picture. By the way that is how I figured out the father's name also. Doesn't that sound right? A guy named Thomas Thomson who is also called son of Thomas. His father would either be named Thomas Thomson also, or named Thomas Thomas which doesn't sound right.  Rolandius Paladin.gif (talk - contr) 01:52, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
