  • Can someone who knows where this comes from please put it in context? When I first came across this, I thought it was some desperate fanfic author trying to get their creation virally inserted into the lore. Though a bit of googling now suggests that this originates in the PnP RPG in some way, I am not familiar enough with those to know how exactly it relates or how to cite it. If someone who is familiar reads this, could you please give us all the info on where this class comes from? --Brommon 17:07, 13 March 2006 (EST)

Most Runemaster stuff appears to come from Magic and Mayhem, and More Magic and Mayhem to my knowledge. Though, I don't have either of those books, but its fairly consistant to what I know. Except I think that a few other races can also be Runemasters. They're a base class in the RPG, which means they're a basic one, like Warriors or Rogues, rather than a special one like Wardens, Demon Hunters or Duelists. --Mecheon 06:22, 9 July 2006 (EDT)

I'd say that if the World of Warcraft is EVER going to add any new classes, the Runemaster would most likely be Blizzard's number one choice. Maxisfreak315 00:27, 19 March 2007 (EDT)

That's it?

We don't have any more info on this? It seems interesting. :<

Orc runemasters

I specifically remember one on the cover of one of the rpg books. Zarnks 23:46, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

There is a tauren runemaster on the cover Magic & Mayhem, and an orc, on more magic & mayhem. However it seems that orc runemasters are rare, usually tought by the tauren.Baggins 16:09, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

additonal ideas

Is there any additional information?

About Runemasters, or Ley Lines, even any locations. This seems like it should have alot more lore then it should Rannulf 02:39, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

That's all there is for rune masters, as for ley lines.-Baggins 02:59, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Gnome Runemaster

Do you think it’s possible a Gnome could learn to be a runemaster? Because they have such close ties with the Dwarves.User:Airiph/sig 19:17, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

Whatever you can think of is possible. Maybe not everything, but this isn't too far-fetched. --Xavius 17:20, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

I think that they are not going to add runemaster but still... it would be awsome but unlikely —The preceding unsigned comment was added by M1330 (talk · contr).

Your ideas are linked through the class ideas page, that page is fine to link your ideas, however not the official pages of Runemaster or Hero class. I belive that Runemasters is a very likey candidate for a new hero class. They are very unique and they already exists in the RPG. Chaos of Warcraft (talk) 10:43, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Kaplan has stated that the Runemaster was considered for WotLK, so the idea is out there. INV Misc Orb 04.pngXavius, the Satyr Lord 21:23, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
