Retcon?

Kael is a Bloodelf but this was before the Quel Thalas fell and the survivors became bloodelfs so he was supposed to be a High elf—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gurluas (talk · contr).

At the time high elves wore red, blue or pretty much any color. It wasn't until blood elves came into existence that high elves chose to stop wearing red.Baggins 23:33, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
