Sunwell?
Since we are going to defeat Kil'jaedan at the Sunwell Plateau, this would probably mean that Mephistroth would be next in line as the leader of the Burning Legion, aside from Sargeras who is currently banished. Maxisfreak315 05:18, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

The "half-formed abomination" remembers me of Sargeras in the War of the Ancient at the Well of Eternity: while he was emerging the Well imploded but he wasn't banished nor killed thus Kil'Jaeden still rulez if he fails at the Sunwell. --N'Nanz 15:24, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

We don't really know what happened to Mephistroth. It's more than likely that Blizzard forgot about him as much as I hate that, since he does seem like a really cool character. Doom Lord Kazzak would probably be entitled to take over the Legion if Kil'jaeden dies, since Kazzak is 'Kil'jaeden's Right Hand' and all. --Timolas 10:00, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Something that bothers me
Mephistroth is credited as being the current leader of the dreadlords. This comes from Lunarfalls, a site notorius for creating its own lore. Do we really have enough proof to call him Ticondrius replacement? and Anethron his predecsoor? Or is it just conjuncture? The three appeared in the cutscene and all are obviously important dreadlords in the hierachy but who can we truly know those three were the Nathrazim's top three leaders. It's stated as speculation. Besides, there has never been any official confirmation regarding wether Anetheron took the place of Tichondrius either, when the latter died. We just presume so, and it's a good presumption. I think it's safe to say that Mephistroth is the top dread lord, since there's no information to indicate otherwise. - He's still mentioned as successor of Tichondrius in several pages, like Demon or Nathrezim. Shouldn't we remove it, since it is pure speculation? By the way, Mephistroth is not lore rich (yet). --

What happened to him?
Did Blizzard forget this guy or what? It's been six years since Reign of Chaos and they've never made any mention or reference to his existence, whatsoever. Not in any of their lore books or internet sources. I'm beginning to speculate that he might just vanish for good, which is a terrible shame. He's (apparently) not going to be featured in The Sunwell Plateau either. Is there anyway to get an official statement from Blizzard? - We must not forget that Blizzard might have actually just left them for the sake of "someone still being there". Imagine what would happen if Mephistroth, Azgalor, Kil'jaeden and all other Burning Legionąs high-ups ended up dead? We would have only Sargeras and possibly a bunch of new, lore-weak demons to lead the Legion. I'd rather have them left alive (at least for the time being, maybe having them assaulting Icecrown Citadel, or in some other future expansion). --Suljin (talk) 13:24, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Blue Dreadlord
Well since this guy is the only dreadlord that was blue in WArcraft 3,(in campain), and hes currently the only known dreadlord to have an ice magic field(presumed) It safe to assume when he finally comes into Wow he'll have his own unquie model. Also, since Mal'ganis said he was returning to his homeworld, well he said the homeworld but thats beside the point, he could contact Mephistroth and he could open a portal from the Nathrizm homeworld to Azeroth and attack Icecrown Citdel. THen of course Mephistroth then goes back to the homeworld before we get a chance to kill him and he sends Mal'ganis. I know this seems like fan fiction and you admin are gonna say this isnt a forum, well this Article was piicking up dust and I just wanted to shine the light on this.--

The Distant Voice
